Is Kindred Really a Celestial?
Okay, so Kindred
is the manifestation of Death on Runeterra. Now, they could just be spirits and I'm over thinking this but I feel like Kindred is a much more powerful being then just some random spirit that picked up the job of being death. Not going too deep into the lore, The Celestials have watched over Runeterra since the beginning. Some Celestials have specific roles to play and others have descended from Mount Targon to protect humanity from itself, like Bard
and Soraka
. What if, one Celestial was tasked with introducing the concept of death to the mortals on Runeterra to keep a natural order to things. So, this Celestial of death uses its powers to know who needs to die and when and is able to be many places at once all over Runeterra. This leads into the Kindred death voice line where Wolf asks Lamb to tell him a story. Lamb tells Wolf that there was once a pale man with dark hair who was very lonely because all things must meet him, so they shunned him. The man represents death and how all things must die and will meet death, yet nobody wants to meet death. Always working to keep the balance, the Celestial of death doesn't get to socialize with other cosmic beings and any mortals it meets will soon die. So, as the story then goes, he split himself in two so that he would always have a friend. Now divided, the two halves, Lamb and Wolf, carry on the Celestial's task of bringing death to the mortals of Runeterra no longer lonely in their eternal task.
I also say Celestial and not an Aspect because Kindred doesn't appear to everyone and may not have a sold form like the aspects as well as having a form more similar to Soraka then say Diana, although the Aspect of Death sounds awesome.
