With the release of this awesome map of Runeterra I wonder where people would want to live and why!
Me, personally, would live in Ionia in harmony with the very elements around me. I really love the new map and lore, it would be cool if I could live in Runeterra!
100% Demacia.
I can stand a little unjustified blind hatred if it means living in relative peace and security. This is assuming I wasn't a powerful mage, of course; if I were, I think I would prefer Noxus.
Wouldn't ever pick Shurima, Freljord, or Ionia, though. I prefer structure, and all of those places seem a little chaotic for my tastes.
To be honest, None. Noxus is basically Communist Russia Demacia is a racist and bordered nation Shurima is led by the same guy who made it fall, plus not all citizens listen to him so expect a coup soon and miss me with that desert crap, no thank you, I'm not a heat and summer guy Targon is the playground to some menafistions of concepts and ideals taking form within extra strong humans on top of a really freaking tall mountain Frejlord is about to be engulfed in a tribal war plus Lissandra planning to bring back the Watchers and the Iceborn, so... not cool. Piltover is run by some rich oligarchs and if you aren't part of a royal family/ genius, gtfo cause you can't do crap Zaun is poor, filthy and full of hextech weapons carrying criminals, plus toxic waste all around Ionia is a bunch of hipies and monks all round, probably some animal will try to eat me and no one will stop it, plus the whole vastaya situation Bilgewater is full of criminals and pirates, plus some strange creatures down below. And do I really need to explain the reason against the Shadow Isles?
Ionia is SO for me. It is so mystic, the land of magic! Totally my thing.

Even though I like Shurima a lot, I can't stand to hot weather, and I f****** hate sweating.
Hmm... realistically, living at the base of Mount Targon is the overall safest as long as you don't do anything that causes you to be accused of heresy. Especially because not even Noxus seems to care about conquering it.
However, that's no fun. Bilgewater is a bit too cutthroat for my tastes. Piltover would be nice, but only if I'm upper class and well-defended if when Noxus arrives.
Freljord and Shurima are too low-tech for my tastes, honestly.
Ionia would be nice as long as I don't get killed by some magical creature/magic user I inevitably piss off. I also have to worry about Noxus coming in and ruining everything.
Demacia's too insular, I think. And there's also Noxus that's going to be coming at them some time or another.
Y'know, now that I think about it, Noxus seems to be a pretty decent place as long as I can pull my own weight. I think I'd be a pretty good warmason; I'm good at fast-talking.
Piltover, I always love a steampunk setting
I like the Shadow Isles and the Void both because they give great benefits if you submit to them, but realistically I probably wouldn’t be able to live there.
On the other hand, Noxus is the easy choice for me. A nation that strives for unity and greatness among all peoples, seeking to include everyone in their proud empire. Unlike other nations, you can be free to find our own path in service of a greater ideal.

Piltover. It's the closest thing to our home.
Most likely Mount Targon, because the mountains and the overall scenary of the land is just inexplicably beautiful.

If I was born in Runeterra probably Noxus. If I travelled there from our reality probably Pilltover.

Hrmmm, I can see this being asked in two very different ways:
Which really comes down to two pretty different answers for me.
For 1: I could definitely be happy with Ionia or Piltover. My knowledge of modern mechanics would leave me well off in Piltover, and as for Ionia I would love to observe the various forms of magic found around there as well as see all their amazing flora and fauna. While Targon is my favourite nation I don't think I would deal well with the cold.
For 2: Freljord, Targon, or Noxus. I enjoy challenge but they way I have lived my life so far hasn't prepared me very well for any of them. I don't have the build or knowledge to survive in the Freljord and to a lesser extent Targon, and I am far too polite and inclined to step aside for Noxus. I do think I could do well in any of the three if I had been raised there though, my natural inclinations would leave me happy there.
The safest area...?
Noxus= Roman Empire. I don't really like living in such environments, where strength is everything. In the short story, "Progress Day" it can be seen that Noxus has a great deal of violence. I don't want to die. Plus they're constantly at war. Shurima= Ancient Egypt. The same dude that made it fall now leads it. And the lands are in total chaos so I expect a war soon. In Ionia there is too much crap going on, with the Order of Shadow and all of that. Bilgewater is a criminal haven, so no. And a Harrowing EVERY YEAR. I don't want to get stuck as a spirit of the Mists forever. Living in Zaun will give you lung cancer and it's super cutthroat. Freljord is too cold. No frostbite plz. Demacia is nice, but they are too strict and no magic allowed. I like magic so I would've said Ionia but there's too much crap there. In the end, I would say Piltover, since I'm a scientist type of guy. I'd probably not die, since they do stuff by the book. Hextech is probably the closest thing to magic, and its readily available. I also like its climate. Not shurima hot and not freljord cold. Nice place.
All the kids saying Noxus makes me laugh, there is a 99.99% chance that you will be considered weak and immediately killed.
One place and forever, Shurima. Maybe it is hot but I rather be by the oasis of the dawn then anywhere near accusation and doom.
Just out of the blue, Ionia or piltover. If I were to be born and raised, Zaun or Noxus. It’s a hard living but if you’re raised to live in harsh situations like that you’ll be fine (?). Ionia seems like a chill place if you HAD to move to runeterra soon.

(this is old but yolo) I'd probably wanna live in either Ionia, or Targon or Bandle city~ i'd love to be able to visit other places tho, like Demacia, Shurima, Bilgewater etc....
I'd probably be a doc or something when I finish school, and I'm pretty smart, so not Ionia or Targon because they use magic to heal,plus Ionia is crazy, and Targon is a celestial playground. Living in Zaun or bilgewater is asking to die. Definitely not Icathia or the Shadow Isles. The Freljord is setting up into a civil war so nah cuz I'll die and they have magic. Demacia is nice but too constraining. Noxus is not for my tastes. Dealing with sand is not nice so not Shurima, and also too many crazy shits there. So I would say Piltover, because I can do cool things and be welcome in pretty much anywhere. They want my tech. I wouldn't like a run in with any of the heroes though. If it was born in Runeterra then probably Demacia or Piltover. Anywhere else I'd probably die.
Ionia, magic would be neat to live with and I love the idea of the trees that become houses because "a guy who can talk to trees asked it if a person can live inside it, so it formed a house for the person". Aside from that the creatures there would be cool and wouldn't mind getting to meet the largest population of the Vastayan race. Shame that 
isn't one of the natives, but luckly won't have to worry about a run in with 
's tribe, seeing as they'd likely attack the moment I tried to say hello .__.
