Kennen's Lore
So, with the current direction that the ninja's are taking, what exactly IS Kennen's role with the ninja's now? The Triumvirate is basically dead. Is he literally just the Ninja's yordle mascot now?

Given how Shen was always the balancing point between Akali and Kennen as part of that trio, I'd assume that Kennen's role leans more on the side of dealing with spirits, demons and other supernatural entities. In contrast I can see Akali as the one dealing with human affairs; it could be why she was with Shen in Jhin's short story but Kennen was nowhere to be found - not Kennen's fortee.
Also Kennen's the oldest in the trio considering he's a yordle, so he probably worked with Kusho as well.
Shen keeps the balance between the spirits and humans, Akali helps out with person on person violence(like Jihn for example), and Kennen still runs messages. Ionia, for all we know, could be huge. And someone needs to keep Shen updated with whats happening in the human world(between humans). And Kennen would be one of the few that could keep up with Shen's constant teleportation.
We don't really know much about Kennen. He's a messenger, and sometimes deals with punishments.
Within the ninja three, he's the more optimistic one; Akali's opposite, this keeps the balance within the three (one neutral, one relentless, and one forgiving). IE) When it comes to how to deal with Zed, Akali thinks they should kill Zed, but Kennen believes that Zed can be redeemed.
