I just wanted to say that I think all of the love everyone put into their work designing and implementing Rakan and Xayah really shows. They're fun to play and the voiced back-and-forth chatter and call-outs are very entertaining.

Their gameplay isn't really my style (I'm more of a bruiser/tank player than adc or support) but I don't think their kits are poorly designed.

Because the title "Charmer" made everyone thing Rakan was "Casanova" charming and was outright confused when it turned out that he was just a lovable idiot. Lol. If he spoke "suave and sophisticated" the entire time like everyone thought, I can't see Xayah actually pairing with him unless she was also "high class" lady. And I mean on the level of Assassin and spy-work.
At which point, they'd definitely have a different audience. Probably would have failed too.

Or if I go Xayah solo top lane and confuse people. But I think that's even less viable now since her slight nerf of the aa + q thing.
