How do you all feel about this being a possibility in the future? Riot is still pushing the rivalry between these two factions. They've both fought two wars against one another now. I think the last cinematic was trying to have us sympathize for a certain side, which is hard to do with Demacia given its powerful military and S tier armor and weapons. Ionia doesn't have a military after all, and despite their victories in a few battles against the tyrannical kingdom, Noxus still occupies a good portion of the country.

If they did a Demacian VS Noxus Cinematic, how do you guys think it would play out? Would it be another all out war on a battle field? Smaller scale battles between the two nation's greatest champions? Let us know what you think!

If you'd rather not see something like this happen, tell us why, and what you'd rather see out of a faction based cinematic!

Why betwen the champs only? This isn't that Institute of War bull shit anymore. I'd rather have a cinematic with a full battle betwen armies where some champs are involved too.

I think the easiest path from a writing perspective is that League is set up so that there are all these existential threats to humanity (The Darkin, The Black Mist, A second Rune War, unfriendly Celestials like A Sol and of course The Void), but humanity as is typical would rather squabble over small potatoes than put aside differences, band together to live another day.

Demacia and Noxus have beef, Ionia and Noxus have beef. Ionia would probably not like Demacia due to their anti magic views and that they took a neutral stance against their common enemy in Noxus. Noxus has pacified The Freljord population, Demacia has also committed war crimes against them, Piltover and Zaun have beef, Zaun supplied weapons to Noxus that hurt Ionia, Noxus is trying to infiltrate Piltover, Piltover suffers at the hands of raiders from Bilgewater, Bilgewater causes problems for Noxus, Ionia and Shuriman trade and at the same time Bilgewater is a byproduct of Piltover in the same way Nassau was a product of Caribbean colonialism. Targon manipulates Shurima and has used them as a frontline in their war against the Void for centuries in ancient times.

You get the point it goes on and on. I don't think that that's the point though. To showcase more wars between the people of Runeterra. It may be a little cliche but I think ultimately the story could head in a direction here these people may have to abstain from their small conflicts to fight any of the bigger threats I listed above. In that "they rise above", I think at least that's the more likely direction.

Targon manipulated* Shurima. They aren't doing that anymore
