For those of you that have several skins for your main, how do you choose? Is it random or a system?
For me with Brand...
Spirit Fire if I know I'm going to stomp the lane.
Apocalyptic if the matchup is unknown or if any of my team is toxic. (Get it?)
Classic if I know I'm going to be stomped.
For Taric:
Classic whenever I feel like it.
Bloodstone when ranked or serious.
5th Age Armor when ARAM or relaxed.
With Viktor....
Creator always.
I dunno, I was kind of born with mine tbh.
Lordekaiser is my all time Tryhard skin, because the Mace feels like it could shatter mountains
King of Clubs when I roll Mid lane since I'm the center of the team and thus the King
Pentakill whenever I know I'm going man-mode
Infernal if I feel trolly
Dragon Knight, now that's like some fine Wine, it comes out every once in a while and marks the beginning of the enemy's doom.
Bewitching is default. Lunar Wraith if I'm supporting a Caitlyn, or for when Bewitching gets stale. White Chroma for this Snowdown or Aram. Black Chroma for when I plan on leaving Bot lane 5/0/3. Exile... never, not since they ruined it. Sinful Succulence for when I'm in Discord with my club and want to complain about someone's cooking.
DJ by default.
Sweetheart or Classic if I'm feeling like it.
Silent Night if it's snowdown.
Guqin if it's Lunar Revel or I'm feeling it.
Arcade if I'm supporting an MF. I'll always ask if she has the skin so we can match.
I don't use Muse or Pentakill Sona despite owning them because I'm a vain bastard who finds it weird that those skins don't have her trade mark huge ponytails, and it kinda dissappoints me. I should use Pentakill more just for the rock music but I miss the ponytails and she looks so much like Katarina, whom I despise with a passion.

Freljord Taliyah. I have choices I swear.
Academy Ekko because i dont like the Project Ekko's hair, and standstorm would take me getting used to the particles.
Winter Wonder Ori. I like winter and dont own TPA. Most of the other models are bad. If i did own TPA it'd be 50/50.
Master Arcanist Ziggs. I dont own snow day and the rest are pretty terrible quality.
Warring Kingdoms Kat. I dont own Project or else it'd be 50/50. I like the particles on this skin and it feels cleaner than the rest. I need project Kat in my life though at some point though.
When I used to play Ahri: Challenger - Normally Popstar - if I got bored of challenger Dynasty/Midnight - if i wanted to calm down (Firefox is trash)
I select my skins on a mostly random basis, with a few rules.
Must have a new skin every game
Warlord only if I'm jungling
TPA only if I'm supporting
Yellow Jacket or Frozen if I'm doing ranked
I prefer skins that can look different in each game.
- Elementalist Lux is 10 skins in one.
- He is my main, and Warring Kingdoms Xin Zhao Chroma Bundle is 7 skins in one.
- Star Guardian Jinx is bae, but Firecracker Jinx chroma bundle is 6 skins in one.
with Taric I used to try to match or compliment my Duo partners color she picks Heartseeker Ashe? I play bloodstone taric. Arctic ops Varus? Classic taric. But then the Pool Party came with its amazing ult SFX which actively helps my duo partner with the timing and I never looked back.
i often play a skin till a loss and then choose another one, but not always
my favorite ahri skin is popstar so i tend to play it more often, while i don't like arcade very much so i tend to play it rarer
when i'm mad at ahri i play classic :3 tbh classic is one of her best skins so it's actually i play pretend i'm mad at her
Default or Captain Gangplank when Tryharding. Special Forces or Sultan when I'm gonna have a bad time in lane. Spooky or Minute man whenever I feel like it :P
Sometimes it is random, sometimes I just go through the list.
With tristana, if I'm playing with someone important I use earnest elf. If I'm just having fun I use riot girl or classic.
With lux I use the elementalist skin and use storm if I'm having an okay day, mystic when I'm in a good mood, and ice when I'm unhappy.
I only have skins from either riot points that friends gave me or from a discount shop so I don't really have much of a choice lol
I main support and matching the ADC is all it matters.
If there's nothing to match I either pick whatever looks more fitting, or pick whatever the hell I want.
Or just use Star Guardian or Wicked Lulu hecause they are the better looking skins anyways.
For Sona:
DJ almost always, but typically Silent Night or Sweetheart if I don't want to use it. I usually only use arcade for other arcade skins.
For Orianna:
Winter Wonder almost always, I love the light colors and recall animation. Heartseeker if playing Orianna support or whenever I'm feeling it. Gothic whenever I'm serious about a match. Despite owning every skin, I usually don't use the others compared to those three.
For Nami:
Typically I use Koi (Have to love the koi in ebb and flow and the flutes during the ult), but use Deep Sea whenever I want to get serious. Occasionally I use River Spirit but that's only if I want to match with my adc's skin.
For Taliyah:
Usually choose Freljord as I adore all of it's effects and Taliyah's recall. I also enjoy the freljordian markings on her arms and her hair. However, I choose default when I want to switch things up or enjoy the pleasing sound effects (I love the q and e).
For Aurelion Sol:
Classic. Always.

I only have skins for Mundo and Sion and I don't play Sion much.
Corporate Mundo all the time.
Whenever I decide to play Mundo, I play Corporate Mundo.

Default/boneclaw when I haven't played it in a while, Ironscale/Championship/Super Galaxy/ are my go to, Darkflame when i feel like try hard or want to win, and ice drake just whenever I feel like it
I always use the Classic skin because I just love it. I also think that sir Kled is a downgrade from the skarl and crazy looking yordle.
I almost always use junkyard, especially in ranked. But if I am on a loosing streak or feel down I use traditional because his old voice over is so crazy and I love is laugh in that skin. I wish I had Lil' slugger or Worldbreaker. I don't really like constaple trundle that much.
I only have nemisis with the yellow croma so I cant use anything else. I only play jax in rankt 3 vs 3 or when I don't get kled.
I use Project all the time even though I have the Academy skin. I just really love the Project skin line. I also have the Yi and Yasuo Project skins. (I also have Project zed and Lucian skin shards that I'm planning on upgrading.
I always use the Classic skin on him cuz it's animations with the stars and everything is just so fantasitc, I also love the blue color he have. The ashen lord is just kinda meh, its cool, but meh.

Well my main main is Janna, but I only have one skin for her, which is tempest Janna. I like that it's legacy and so semi-rare, so I'm not too desperate for another janna skin (don't care for forecast), but star guardian janna certain tickles my fancy, and so I'd probably switch it around every now and then (especially if there was another SG skin on the team).
My old main was cait, and I have sheriff and officer cait. My default is officer cait simply because it's the most expensive and I got it as a gift so want to make sure I get value out of it, but I'll occasionally cycle in sheriff cait for the odd game here or there. If I'm in in queue with someone I just played with (either through random matchmaking or as a premade), I'll usually change skins just to show off the collection as well.
If they ever did introduce a 'random' skin option, I'd probably default to that for most champs though and only manually pick one if there was teamwide skinergy to be had. Right now manually being random is a pain though.

Never Classic anymore, not at all appealing.
mostly based on season kinda. This whole winter im going mistletoe. During harrowing i go ravenborn. Elderwood when i feel like it. Presitgious when I feel like saying "i have this skin". Wicked - whenever i want people to know that i use the skin. Classic - when i need a refreshment.
Anything on sale and cheap. Usually if it's on sale it has to be a skin for a champ that doesn't already have one.
For LeBlanc, I tend to pick a skin when I feel like it. I'm planning on making a system:
Mid - Prestigious Top - Wicked Jg - Elderwood (If I get it) ADC - Ravenborn Support - Mistletoe
- Aether Wing, period. Rule of Cool, better animations which allow me to gauge my attacks better.
- Star Guardian as normal, Elementalist when I feel like being flashy...not that I've played it yet....
