The Pantheon rework

to my understanding Pantheon is the next champion up for a VGU. And I know that many people dont like that Atreus was subsumed by the Aspect of War (although I like that it does that for reasons)

so as a solution that's likely way too late, maybe the story can instead have Atreus be one of the few people strong enough of will to keep his identity.

from there, the story is a struggle of atreus bonding with Pantheon and trying to reach a sort of symbiosis like the other aspects have accomplished. the gameplay could be reflect this in some way too, though I dont know how.

I'm sorry if this is too derivative of Kayne and Rhaast, though this conflict would be one that's more beneficial to both of them than detrimental. I hope its found interesting

I agree with Warlord here. I think another two voices in one champ would run too derivative of Kayn/Rhaast

I don’t think anything we say at this point will have any effect on the Pantheon story at all. My money is that it has already been finished with maybe just a few more drafts of writing to go on.

He’s going to pop up in a month or so. So the voice over needed to have been written and probably recorded by now.

That said. Personally I would hate having two characters bickering with each other when playing the champion. That just sounds annoying to me.

Well, his kit is out (somewhat). You can make it out from this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WY2cwhNnFc4

His Q is Pyke Q but no pull His W is the same (seems to maybe have an empowered auto attack at the end?) His E is the same but he can move while using it, and it seems to give damage reduction when its taken from the front His R is the same but he does a really sexy slide, which makes the AoE bigger as well

He looks really cool, might make him my new top lane pick once this all comes out

From the hints we're getting, it looks like Riot might be going God of War with Pantheon's new story, so we could see any number of changes to how Atreus and Pantheon interact with each other (though I think it's safe to say that Atreus will still be around).

I think going the two-voices-in-one-body route might be a good idea, but it should definitely be done differently than Kayn and Rhaast, if so. Perhaps a middle ground between them and Yorick and the Maiden's dialogue. I would expect and enjoy some gratuitous Greek war and life philosophy in the dialogue.

And no matter what, Riot had better keep his baker joke. It's essential.

In the terms of "two-voices-one-body" you're talking about, something I always though would be interesting in a Champion was if they had a different set of voice lines for when playing them, and playing with them. Kind of like with Sona, how you can only hear her voice when actually playing as her.

But instead of other people only hearing melodies, they would actually hear a different voice (Pantheon's), while the person playing Pantheon would hear two voices (Pantheon's and Atreus').

But this is more something I had hoped they would do with Varus; when playing with or against Varus, you only hear the Darkin. But when playing as Varus, you hear the Darkin, Valmar and Kai.

I've always like the whole idea of a voice that only the player can hear, but it really doesn't make a lot of sense with Sona anymore, since the whole "Summoner" thing has been retconned.

i dont like any of their new voices lately, the new lee voice for example sucks so hard sounds way too much like some bulky american dude.

and with the pantheon rework are so many things wrong i dont even exactly know where to start;

  1. his spear is slightly too big and his body too small. it feels like controlling a puppet with a huge head/spear/shield/cape and a tiny body, which is pretty much against his designidea of a strong human with some godly gifts.

  2. his kit is extremely wonky rn, it deals damage but not enough to kill stuff except you go full assassin or attack with someone else and not really tanky in solo q because the shield lasts only 1.5(2.5 if charged) sec in a 90-ish degree cone and anyone can easily walk past it. So without some good coordination you are dead meat waiting to die without being able to kill anything except you can see in the future and land a point blank ult.

  3. that voice and the lines are so cringe and meh. gimme back my baker.

He is the sorrow bringer, aka the aspect of war.
