Was demacian involved with the Ionian war?

I want to know if maybe Garen had anything to do, or aiding in helping the fight In the Ionian war. Anyone have any information on this?

Garen was waiting in a bush for the Noxians, but they never showed.

Highly unlikely. On the other side of the world and involving things that don't concern Demacia.

Well that map is fan made. Riot hasn't made a real map. And if so it be a ocean away. Assume that the lives are on planet in the shape of a sphere.

Well it is unknown if that is a world map,or if there are other continents as well. Also from what we know it is highly likely that demacia is still on the west side of the continent with noxus and ionia on the east

I wasn't reffering to any fan map; Demacia has always been and likely will remain to be on the opposite side of Runeterra from the entire continent of Ionia, and it's already been stated; Demacia takes care of itself. It wouldn't bother helping Ionia.

I think they got involved very near the end when the outcome was already decided. In the old lore they were too busy disputing the ownership of Kalamanda to really give a damn.

In the old Journal of Justice days, I think they didn't really have much to do with the Ionia vs Noxus war. Now, I say "I think", because I haven't read the old archives of the "JOJ", so you might want to check them on the LOL Wikia to make sure.

My take on it is as follows:

They were probably reveling in the fact that they had "won" Kalamanda from the Noxians, until JarvanIV J4 Here decided to be a warmongering bonehead (Or it was possibly Leblanc Leblanc here in disguise, that was hinted at during the time) and attack Swain Swain, so the whole place got turned into a battleground. They took a sidelines view to the Ionia vs Noxus thing because they (As far as I know) had no stakes in Ionia, so they felt no need to intervene.
