I'M SO MAD AT RIOT

I am really , really tired of them of bashing Noxians left and right. Like with many of the trailers or teasers they have Noxus loosing. kled ,bard, new dawn, kayn. List goes on. I really don't feel Noxians are particularly bad. Just miss lead. Reason why I bring this up. Darius is my favorite champion. I been drawing him consistently for 4 years. 4 years of fanart! Rping and everything. All I have ever seen from Darius is get wrecked. They calm Noxians are these total cool guys and whatever. But all I been seeing is this one sided. Aside from him walking through freljord. He didn't do anything. New Dawn was worst Half the team was Noxian. They all got wrecked! I feel this is so one sided. Good always prevails or whatever. With this new champion Kayn? Darius is struggling to reach his axe. A noxian general veteran. On the floor? Not just one general but two? Sion and than Darius?

I spent over maybe $200 on boxes to get dreadnova Darius. $200! Even though he looks like swain. But I bought cause I loved the character that much. I didn't care about the price.

But now I don't even care any more. I really considering leaving league entirely. After putting $ 1,500 into it, and even considering a tattoo. (almost) I feel they killed Darius for me. I am really upset. How much bashing he gets. The only thing that's keeping me here barely is whenever the Noxian lore update. I heard it was coming around the Urgot update. Rumors or whatever. I hope there is still for Darius not looking like a chump anymore.

My summoner name was previous (I love u Darius) But recently changed. Due to having him always ban in my rank and getting camped when they saw my name.

Hold up, are you seriously upset that a maniac had a day dream about killing to of the strongest melee combatants he knew?

It's like Jihn's teaser, it's what Kayn/the Darkin is thinking, not what actually happens.

That is not what op was talking about. It's about how Noxus is supposed to be this force to be reckoned with and takes over everything they touch. But in everything Noxus is teased in ( new dawn for example) it just plays them like these fumbling bafoons that can't even defend themselves out of a trash heap. For being a powerful nation and force to all, riot sure a hell likes to portray them as being defeatable and horribly skilled.

The only time a Noxian came out on bottom was Draven in A New Dawn (the smokescreen into Rengar clawing). Every other time they came out on par with everyone else, not quite winning but not quite losing either. Draven is the only time I felt a champion/nation came out on bottom.

Uh Darius got wrecked in the video by Leona's ult followed by ranger then Ahri's ult. Kat got shot in the face by Graves. I know you're trying to be witty about how Draven was on the ground, but it still doesn't prove that Noxus always gets shit on in every cinematic.

I wasn't being witty, I was being objective.

Yes, all three were defeated, but look at how they did before that. Kat juked everything Rengar threw at her while managing to get at least one cut in on him. Darius wrecks Leona, goes toe to toe with Jax, then 1v3's Rengar, Ahri, and Leo.

The only Noxian who doesn't show up in a clip is Draven, who's sole contribution seemed to be a shrug.

In every clip we see of the Noxian army they look as proficient as the Demacian's "Helmet Bro", if not more so.

TL;DR: The Noxian's lost the fight in A New Dawn, but they don't look like push overs in any of the clips (except Draven. You can get mad at Draven).

Im sorry, but this is an odd thing to be so upset about to me. If you're going to like a villain you have to come to terms with the purpose of villains. They are enemies for the hero(es) to overcome, and so, usually, they will lose. That doesn't make me like them any less, personally. And my favorite LoL champs are villains.

Yeah I don't mind but really the thing that urks me is they never really focus on any other VILLAINS Like what about other nations. Why does it always have to be Noxus. I mean Shiruma isnt no sun shine country. Also I dont mind the whole villain thing its just they always look like there loosing? I have never seen any of them actually win a fight. Yet they are suppose to be this badass nation. Is what I am trying to get at.

I get where you're coming from I think. It does seem like when ever Riot puts out something where a villain is defeated, that villain is usually noxian. Which is weird considering just how many villains there are in runetera for them to draw from.

I can see where you're coming from. Although I'm sure everyone's argument is going to be "Heroes prevail." There is good enough writing out there that at least shows that villians are badasses and fight for a cause just as the "Heroes" do. The only example I can think about is Avatar the Last Airbender. They make the Fire Nation to be this nation of high power that wiped everyone out with no mercy, but Aang infiltrates it and talks to the soldiers and they all fight and feel like what they're doing is just and cause. For the better of the nation. As is Darius, he feels like everything he's doing is for the better of Noxus. Riot just overshadows with, yes, the typical "Heroes over all" with literally anyone that's against Noxus to be the better guys. I get that they show their trials and tasks they did before they became powerful Noxians, in lore, but Noxians once they've chosen to stay, are considered dicks. lol. That's literally all anyone uses to describe Darius when I talk to them or generally when I mention Noxus.

If anything, I'd hope, that just.. Not even see Noxus winning just showing that "No mercy" isn't the only thing they have known about them. I don't think I've ever taken "No mercy" as a bad trait either. (especially in a game where objectives are met, usually, by killing one another) It definitely feels like something more could be done with Noxus as a whole. The lore rework or whatever those are haven't been done for Noxus yet, so I suppose there's still that. If I'm gonna be honest, I haven't read the lore for many champions. There have been prisoners in Demacia, they generally show no mercy when it comes to Noxians, if I'm correct. By patterns in full fledge heroes, most heroes don't want to kill anyone and have mercy to spare.

To be frank. I JUST WANNA SEE A VIDEO WHERE NOXIANS ARE KICKING ASS. (excuse the language) And not always loosing like in almost everything I see related to them fighting wise. VISUALLY. I dont like the way the portray them as always loosing there battles. When am I gonna see the badass?

It's because no one likes Swain. It's much like Urgot or Yorick before the rework. Everyone hated them and they where never played. But a rework and all of a sudden they are a topic? So update Swain and he will be more use thus riot will start to include him in the lore and videos. Till then hes just a creepy looking bald man with a bird that pukes on things.

omg. He's not in dire need of a rework unfortunately. Maybe an ult change would be cool. I had hoped they figure out a way to make them a topic without reworking. Splash art changes, new skins; those make people new topics. Hence, why I mentioned skins. /shrug Then again, what do I know about the MOBA scene? Nothing. lol

I am too but I do see where OP is coming from. Noxus is supposed to be this great military that everyone is struggling to fight ( Ionia released Jhin from prison because they where so hard to hold back) and every time you see something that isn't a feature video, Noxus isn't played like this great army rather that they are the school bully that can be shut into place by just about any one because the bully always loses. How are they supposed to be believed as a great and powerful nation when they are constantly being shown as fools who don't know how to assemble?

To be fair, and as a darius main, they made Darius look like a total badass in new dawn going down swinging bare handed. But this new Kayne login does kinda suck. One redeeming feature is that a rioter mentioned how that wasn't a reality, but rather how Kayne/rhaast imagined things going. Of course Kayne or rhaast would never beat darius, Darius is a man Kayne is a little preteen boy.

Yeah he did but, what I am getting at is that I wanna seen some Noxians winning. In these trailers and stuff. There suppose to be this big threat and all. I have yet to see them win anything. At all. I think the Kayn thing tilted me even more cause I was just so passionate about the champion. Darius worked from nothing and built up to what he had. I love the fact that he strives from nothing and made himself into something without any magic. The only thing that really wasn't realistic was the large jump in New Dawn. Than when kayn rips through sion like butter and seeing Darius on the floor was ...urgh. Man really urked me even if it was just his imagination. Didn't make Darius look better. Just put him out there that anyone can beat him.

Kled's a Noxian. I think that technically counts. Not to mention that the only reason Noxus "lost" in the Bard trailer was because Bard kept a highly dangerous artifact out of human hands. They held no ill will towards Noxus, and it was otherwise a massive victory for Noxus. Also keep in mind that most stories so far are being told through the eyes of Noxus' enemies. Would they really want to tell stories of Noxus beating them? It's bad for morale. Don't get me wrong, I love Noxus. It's my second favorite nation after Zaun. I just think that once we get to see things from Zaun's side things will get a bit less clear in terms of who's winning.

No one really is winning though. Each nation wants to rule them all and set the rules. Demacia is just as guilty as Noxus and Zaun but riot plays Demacia like this justice wins and all is good when they are very corrupt in their own right. Each nation fights for what they believe is the right way. But Riot like to play that Noxus and Zaun are ass backwards to the others.

Personally, I find Zaun to be the most ideal of nations. Ionia is full of people who are either horrible (like the guys who released Jhin) or people who act like pacifism is the only solution, when it really isn't. Freljord is just game of thrones. The list could go on, but basically my point is that Zaun is just a place where people do their best. It's also just an awesome place.

That isn't really true. Zaun has Viktor who appears to be doing it to the greater good of the people. But he also is taking it to an extreme because he feels that everyone should be augmented to be seem redeemable beings. Zaun also has rampant crime rates that is often theft and slavery. Piltover is what causes a lot of Zaun's headaches but Zaun isn't purely innocent in the matter of seeing Viktor to being a leader to a greater power. There is a reason people equate his ideas to communist Russia and it's not because of his accent. Every nation has is pros and cons some just have their cons in the open. Where others is masked by the ideals disguised to be rightful justice.

He was killing Noxians. I want someone that still lives in Noxus, and fights for Noxus. But it seems everyone that is in Noxus wants to get out of it. As for the bard thing they still lost. I want a victory. A VICTORY. I WANT SOME NOXIAN PRIDE UP IN HERE.

There just seems to be a lot leading up to it, like Urgot making a lot of mentions towards him and Xayah and Rakan having interactions that seem to be foreshadowing.

lets not start a fight over who isnt and is trolling. That one video was not even supposed to be released. It still doesn't reflect how every other video that isn't a feature of a noxian champion, shits on Noxus. Alot of the official art work also shits on Noxus. The general attitude is to shit on Noxus without much of Noxus shitting on any one else. They are being painted badly with very little paint of their own to paint others back.

And most of these promotions and art pieces have no bearing on actual lore. Noxus, like it or not, is probably one of the less preferable places to live in the (frankly shitty) world of Runeterra. I don't see how Noxus could be getting shit on to such a degree if Katarina is the de facto mascot of the game.

Even so the argument could be made that the Noxus empire serves as the catalyzing element for much of the action in the world.

Besides when your entire culture revolves around a libertarian social Darwinism, the best you can hope for is an argument for morally grey.
