That "leak" is fake. Confirmed by a rioter

I know a lot of people who are still talking about the leak, but I hate to be the barer of bad news but it was confirmed FAKE.

Rioter beluga whale confirmed on the urgot mains reddit that the urgot leak is bullshit. (which means everything else also is) This was actually yesterday but a lot of people overlooked the post or didn't notice it.

Unless he's trolling us (very doubtful) we shouldn't be expecting any of this to be real, and in urgot/evelynn case its just theorying off of the previous, actually legit leak.

Although I want to say to riot, please consider some of these skin ideas. While there may be better themes for some of them like yorick, those program skins and secret boss viktor looked extremely enticing.

EDIT: Reav3 also confirmed the eve part is a hoax as well and that a "wall stealth mechanic" would've been a lame concept entirely.

Well I said it would be lame for Eve. Could be cool for a new champion. Evelynn's main strategic identity is permastealth. As I stated in my last "State of Champion Update" blog, we don't plan on removing that aspect, just making it healthier.

I can see that, it did sound like a cool concept (as an eve player myself) but for her I felt it would be too far from what eve would be. I can't see adjusting from walking around permastealth to hugging walls (and if i'm a pixel off, being revealed in a lane gank). Would like a concept like that later though, picture maybe another snake or bug like champion which clings to walls and crawls over them.

I just have two questions because a lot of people seem to believe this, if leaks are true (such as the previous one, which we've already confirmed skins for), would staff lie and say they're untrue for the sake of hiding future content and move people away from it? I don't believe this is the specific case as this leak looks fake from the ground up and we even got context for why eve's "leaked design" shouldn't be a thing, but in the future would that be a thing that gives still believer post in here hope?

Additionally would content based on leaks be looked into in the future? A lot of people got extremely enticed about the viktor skin idea and the program skins got people like me and other extremely hyped. I'd say the same for PP but I think we expected some of those eventually regardless of the leak. Would those skins be a possibility influenced by the leak, or would the skins team ignore those concepts?

I can't speak for other rioters but I doubt we would. If we did it would just be confirmed as soon as the first thing from the list got released anyways so there wouldn't be much value in it.

Two rioters went as far as going to the champ specific subreddits to confirm the rework leaks are false... but what about the skin leaks?

remember, skin concepts are like math. I said in a old post ( that i delete 2 month later) that we get a pool party Illaoi, because in normal case a champion get a skin after half a year with the release of a new champion or in the patch before or after. So i check patch sycles, champion releases and skin themes and then I came to the conclusion that Illaois skin would be a pool party, because thats the line that fit. Same with Zac, his last skin is 2 years old, he don't fit in skin lines that already exist. So he will get again a new line ( look leak) and about the time, rioters already said that they will release skins after they do work on them. So I think Zac will get this skin soon, not in the next patches but I think so 7.14 would be a good timing, maybe in combination with Urgot. So i guess 7.13 or 1.14 And this you can use on many champs, same with Yorick it was clear he will get a skin after his reowrk that it is arcade is weird but makes sence in someway. So don't trust leak , calculate on your own and try to find things on your own ^^

THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been praying this was fake after i read that. Holy crap that would have been so horrible. Being allocated to "the wall walker" would have completely ruined her.

Can you comment more on what y'all's idea are? or at least what parts exactly you think are "unhealthy"?

EDIT: Honestly, in defence of skin leaks they hype up a champion's playerbase like nothing else. Riot should consider occasionally releasing semi-legit leaks just to watch how the crowd reacts at the thought of them.

Like, if the skins board is very divided on a skin concept, the solution should be "Leak its name"

So Riot would "leak" skin concepts before developing them to gauge how the community reacts to the "news" that they're being released before putting resources into creating them? That would be pretty legit.

Riot's always going to do one of two things, either they come out and say it's false, or just say nothing. They're never going to confirm the leak until things are ready to go to the PBE even if it's true.

I'm just going to take a wait and see approach to this, I don't believe in it or discount it yet, if things start coming true like the last one then I'll believe in it, if we're 3 months down the line and nothing's happened with it I'll say it's probably wrong.

Yeah, but we can assume it's because they don't want to lie (since that would make them lost credibility in confirming these and make even wilder theories). So in other words: In case Riot doesn't respond to leak, either they didn't notice or the leak is true and there is no way to respond, because either you'd lie or you'd confirm something prematurely.

In case they voice out loud it's fake, I'd say it's because it is fake, they are not lying, so they can confidently say so, as they are not decieving.

Well, Poolparty Ahri is not 100% ruled out just because that one leak was made up. As long as there is another set of Poolparty skins, there is hope.

But I personally hope that they keep Poolparty Ahri a bit longer in the back, there are alot of champs I would prefer to see in that skin line before her.

She's already been teased had a cameo in a few of the PP splashes, so I kinda want it to see it realized. However, I'd expect Riot HQ to be torched if Ahri got another skin so I guess I'll wait 5 years until she gets a new skin.

And Jinx was even in the Poolparty splashes before she was released. Doesn't mean Jinx deserves to be in the skin line more than other champs, especially since she is a popular champion and gets many skins anyways.

Jinx and Ahri both fit in the theme pretty well and were teased long time ago. But like I said, they are popular champs and get alot of skins anyway. So I would prefer they hold them back and focus on other champs first. And that comes from someone who mains Jinx in the bot lane role.

I didn't mean to imply Ahri deserves to be in the PP line or anything, but it's just kinda crushing to have gotten my hopes up and then shot down like that. I'd imagine more so for the Viktor, Illaoi, and Yorick people who had skins in the 'leak'.

Yea, they get a lot of skins, but who wouldn't turn down more skins for their champ, especially if there isn't one that 'clicks' with them yet?

As for focusing on other champs, while a lot of champs need skins, I'm of the "Por que no los dos?" mindset.

The urgot leak was from the first leak too, almost the same, which that leak so far is 100% real so idk feels like thats a lie

The new leak sounds almost the same because of the rocket launcher, his immobility (we know he is a juggernaut now) and the grappler for his ult. But the guy making this new leak probably just used the information of the last one to forge this.

Think about it. In the first leak, there was the information about shotgun knees (not mentioned in the new leak), a rocket launcher hand (the leak says that the rocket launcher is on his back) and a hook for ult. But in the old leak, there is nowhere stated that the hook is going to make Urgot rooted. Same for the rocket launcher.

This leak can easily be fake, everyone would be able to make this stuff up given the information of the last leak. And I have to admit, I already wondered about the difference between rocket launcher hand and the rocket launcher coming out of the back.

The Urgot leak sounded strange anyway if you think about it. Yes, he is going to be a juggernaut. But that amount of immobility just sounded unreal....

Slow base movement speed, okay..... Rooting himself for ranged attacks, okay.... Rooting himself for his ult, wait.....

Having 2 spells in his kit which are forcing him to stand in place seems too much. I doubt they would put that much immobility in a kit, even if it is the juggernautiest juggernaut in the history (of juggernauts).

The leak mentions that he has a rocket launcher coming out of his back, but the last leak said that it is his hand and the leaked in game model for Urgot pretty much confirms that the rocket launcher is his hand.

Speaking about the leaked model: The new leak says that when he is not in his ranged stance, he is using a spinning saw to attack. The model didn't show any saw whatsoever, he just had a normal human hand and a rocket launcher hand.

There was alot of fishy stuff in the leak.

Then half of the "fake" leaks actually come to be.

Urgot has shotgun knees and a hook with a grinder execute for ult, he attacks wit ha sawblade in melee range. Did get an assassin jungle. Rakan and xayah came out, and so did half of the skins to name the bit im bothered with.

What the "Leak" got wrong:

  • Completely immobile (he's got a dash)
  • Lowest base MS (video showed him keeping up with Viktor)
  • His weakness being super slow (it's positioning)
  • His W locks him in place and uses a rocket launcher (it makes him walk over units and use a machine gun, complete opposite)
  • He uses a saw blade when in melee range (As best I can tell from the gameplay video it's his normal auto attack)
  • Ultimate roots him in place (he's mobile for it)
  • Ultimate moves pretty slow (it's pretty fast)

What the "Leak" got right:

  • The meat grinder ultimate (a detail copied from the real leak that came before it, which no Rioter denied)
  • Urgot is a 6 legged terror machine (the 6 legged model file had already hit the PBE for a short while)

So yeah, I think the Rioters were right in calling this leak a fake.

Still doesn't change fact that half of the leak ended up happening though.

And coulda helped if i looked at your link instead of looking at this one, considering they were released really close to each other. Still though he have 1/2 the features they mentioned in the fake leak. But again considering they were release pretty much at the same time. The other leak that was pretty much along side it did turn out to come true with everything so far though, which is what i had referenced to.

I posted a similar thread saying the urgot was fake but seeing this thread and confirming that the whole thing is fake is both a relief and annoying because now it's very unlikely we will see any of those cool skins. Also no one has said a thing on that new champion? That post seemed awfully specific for just being a guesstimate like I can buy that they just took small details from Eve and urgot and made something up but a whole new Champion to make up? Seems a bit much.

Can we get a rioter in here to confirm that that's fake?

Coming up with a new champion design isn't necessary hard, but just creative by the individual.

That guy could've easily just thought of a design he wished exist or saw something recently and he built a champion around that theme. In fact a similar "lightning" champion theme was made by somebody earlier in the year as a concept, he could've just built upon that original idea.

I can go into specific detail and say a psycho with a chainsaw with a bloodhunt passive similar to warwick is coming patch 7.18, literaly made that up in 5 seconds and could probably make up a kit in 30, however that's obviously not real (unless I have 6th sense...)

Hmmm excellent points. Cruising the thread could easily give someone abilties to mimic, and they probably picked "Mobile ionian monk" to tilt people still claiming lee is OP and get that knee jerk.

Whew thank goodness i can actually look forward to whatever new champ teaser is coming out as a tease and not a confirm on the champ. Appreciated mate.
