I decided to go read some lore for fun and then saw that it said Zed was friends with Syndra but the lore doesn't say anything about it so i went to Syndra to read if she had anything on their friendship then saw she had a rivalry with Irelia and it doesn't say anything about their rivalry. Am i missing something?
I think It's the lore team taking liberties with the stories they want to to tell us eventually. There are others yet to be explained too.
Nasus being friends with Sivir, Elise with Leblanc and Vlad, or Tham Kench being a rival with EVERY yordle to name a few.
A lot of the connections have not been explained for now,they are connections that will be explored later on though.
However if you think about it,it makes sense for zed&Syndra to be allies,considering that both of their stories are about how their masters tried to prevent the use of a potential power(zeds master didn't want zed to learn the shadow abilities and syndras master tried to seal away syndras power). Syndra being enemies with Karma&Irelia also makes sense since syndra pretty much wants to destroy the current ionian leadership and karma is one of ionias elders,while irelia is part of ionias military.
They're both from ionia and were held back by someone, there is a fan comic on their relationship which powered this being added to the website.
there was this great fan comic made about the two of them and riot read it and openly said they made them friends on the lore wiki because of this comic
hi! i actually suggested a idea awhile ago joredan actually liked :D but i do agree just based on the website there is no clarity for relationships without digging through months of red posts and even then its not always clear thats not to say we need full awnsers for relationships like ekkos deal with jinx or tahm and every yordle ever and if i wasnt here since season 3 i know i wouldn't know ashe and trynda were married since nothing in the lore mentions it and all we can go on is queen and king skins normally tbh it would be a number of pages just charting relationships with a small description of whats going on
