Hey guys, I just wanted to know if in the near future Swain will be getting a VU. I think he's a champ that desperately needs one right now. Also, because Swain is Grand General currently in the lore (as shown by the Sion relaunch event), doesn't that mean that Tyrant Swain should be his base model, as Tyrant Swain represents Swain as Grand General? Either way, the Birdman really needs his VU.
He's not up for a total VU for a long time, most likely. Personally, and you can ask The Bravo Ray about this (biggest Swain fan NA), he wanted that skin to almost be a replacement for the base, which I think it achieves. That said, Swain needs a re-imagining. We've been toying with some stuff, (mainly The Bravo Ray has been.. because.. Swain..) but nothing official has been put into pre-production.
Well since lore and the league doesn't exist anymore(sadly) i doubt it would happen. but it would be cool
I doubt they'd make tyrant swain the base skin,I mean sure it is cool and all,but it is still a skin and from what I understand it was more like a ceremonial garb,something he wears sometimes during events,but not always.
Overall a slight VU for him might be in the works as you could see him standing in front of Sions grave with a new staff on the sion-relaunch-promo-page
I'm just hoping to dear god they don't make Swain the 'MUAHAHAHA! I AM EVIL BECAUSE RIOT TELLS ME TO BE!' Villian thing we've been seeing a lot of lately. Riot's been making Evil Characters into Generic Doomsday Villians and it's disgusting. While I do like some of the changes to certain Champions, others are just plain stupid (I'm not sure how accurate this is but someone mentioned to me Orianna being harassed by Zaunites in a very... Well, Pointlessly Stupid manner.)
As much as I'd love to hear (and see) a Swain Texture Update (and by god I'm still waiting on Dragonmaster Swain) Riot needs to act Smart if they so much as GLANCE at his Lore. Boram Darkwill, the man before Swain, was a complete idiot, and Swain has been proven time and time again to be a calculating and manipulative son of a bitch that is only content when his plans have been perfectly executed and doesn't get cocky BEFORE he's won the day.)
So Riot, for the Love of God, PLEASE, Just update Swain's Textures, his Lore doesn't need to be touch and if you do touch it, PLEASE, SWAIN LOYALISTS ARE BEGGING YOU, DO NOT MAKE HIM EVIL FOR THE SAKE OF MAKING A VILLAIN! Keep the Character Depth he has as a man with Ambitions, Goals, and Drive.
Lately it feels like Noxus and Zaun have been reverted to what they were at the very start of the League of Legends: Evil for the sake of being Stupid Evil and Chaotic Stupid Antagonists you use purely to advance the plot while deriving and dis-servicing any Noxian or Zaunite Involved... Please, keep Swain's Lore as it is-HE DOES NOT NEED IT UPDATED IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM.

My issue with Tyrant Swain becoming his base model is that he doesn't actually use his cane to walk anymore with the skin. One of the things I love about Swain is how in his lore it says that despite receiving a bad injury to his leg, he didn't complain about it or nothing and didn't even try to get magic to fix it, just asked for a crutch and was on his way. It's why I used one of my precious refunds on Tyrant Swain, because if he's not actually using his cane then it takes away from his character for me.
I voted yes, but if Tyrant Swain becomes the base, then I think High Command Kat (lore purposes, her current base is nice and up to date though) and SG Udyr (because pizza feet and pyramid hair) should become bases too.
I don't think Tyrant Swain should be his base model because that would be practically a rip-off to anyone who actually bought the skin for him. Suddenly their skin that they bought for $10 becomes permanently free. Think about it for a moment. Riot would probably have to refund his price to EVERYONE who bought him if they did that, just to avoid backlash.
And they won't.
If it was to replace his classic skin, I surely would want a refund on my main account. Other than this, no problem imo.
Sorry is there an element here that isn't "I want a free skin" that I'm not aware of? If you like Tyrant Swain more, buy it and use it.
