Do big lore updates appear before or after a champions release?

Because I'm still hoping very much that the ornn will herald the update of the freljord lore But for the life of me I can't remember when the other lore updates appeared, if it was before or after the release of its corresponding champion When was the lore they updated released?

The vastaya update definetly happened after the release of Xayah and Rakan(roughly a week afterwards).

I'm not that sure about the other ones. However,so far every faction update came with a faction icon,so if Ornn gets released on the PBE with a freljord icon then it is likely that we'll get a freljord update around the time of his release.
