I for one actually like the fun, confident, flirty, and sexy Miss Fortune we currently have in-game.

Even if I don't play her much because I'm not much of an ADC player, It's the MF I personally fell in love with and I know I'm not the only one (She was popular long before even the Bilgwater lore update after all). Now, MF's voice lines right now are definitely lacking, but I like the personality she's got. She's all the things I say in the title, confident, flirty, fun, and even kickass. But now in the lore she's become vindictive for the sake of it just to look more "badass." This game has lots of serious badass characters already, I appreciate current MF's levity. Current in-game MF is a fun character.

Hollow, fueled by vengeance and self-righteousness but apparently more than willing to abandon her principles when the going gets tough. Seems to have little regard for how her actions affect everyone else. No longer a particularly fun or even likable character.

And just for reference, below are all her in-game voice lines. A lot of people say she's little more than walking cleavage, but I don't see it that way. To be fair, there isn't a whole lot there, but a fun if cocky personality shines through. If they were to change her personality with voice-over, I think they should give her Captain Fortune skin its own set of VO for that. That is, keep her other skins the fun Miss Fortune we have now (just with updated VO), and give her Captain skin its own voice lines to reflect her lore character. It's her lore skin after all. It'd be like a reverse Gangplank deal, where his Captain Gangplank skin has its own less serious VO reflective of a different time for him in his lore.

Personallly, I like the Miss Fortune of the lore previous to this comic. The one that tries to better herself only to make Bilgewater a better place. The one that got hurt by a shadow tentacle protecting a little girl during Shadow and Fortune. Not the one that many think is implied here. The one becoming like Gangplank. The one that, as mentioned here, shot an injured man while smiling.

The Miss Fortune of the lore is ruthless? Yes. But by the end of Shadow and Fortune, she was kind of in the travel to better herself. The contrary would be getting her back at the beggining. When she blew up Gangplank's ship without thinking in the damage to the city. The one that felt guilty about what happened to the city, and realized how hollow her vengeance was.

She can be both?

She is basically both sexy and dangerous.

She's bad ass and she gets shit done, by literally being a sexy bombshell. She is hot and she uses that to her advantage but she also has the power to just straight up murder people if she feels like it, without the whole sexy thing.

She can still have flirtyness in her VO but also have a serious tone.

Miss Fortune's character is both a woman who uses her body to her advantage but also uses her guns to her advantage as well.

She doesn't have to be just one, she can be both.

What I don't understand is why people keep thinking "I want MF to change/ I don't like In-game MF" = I don't want MF to be sexy, I want her to be only serious. Since when was this? When I see some threads stating how they like in-game MF over lore MF it's annoying. In-game MF has barely any lines and some of them just makes her sound like she want to have sex wit you, Summoner. She ain't even a lust demon like Evelyn. She deserves more lines. She deserves a legendary skin. She's how old? 7? Jinx got one before her come ON.

When I started playing MF I won't lie. I played her because her tits are as big as mine. Didn't care much for lore, until I started getting addicted to this game. In lore MF is classy-sexy. Classy-Sexy women are usually, fun, confident,and flirty btw. She is a woman who knows how to kill a douche, while looking pretty. My favorite skin is Captain MF (and Road Warrior), It shows MF as a badass woman who takes no shit, while looking sexy. She doesn't have to be nearly naked to show that she's sexy. I stated before and I'll state it again. "I'm obsessed with MF".

So no when someone is saying "I don't like in-game MF" it doesn't mean "I don't like sexy MF, I want her to be only serious" It means "I don't like in-game MF. I don't like the lack of lines she has. I don't like that she doesn't portray all of what and who she is."

PS. Just give me Legendary Dread Nova MF and we gucci fam. [sg-miss-fortune]

One of her OG lines is " I always shoot first". I think she has always been this character. The comic is showing her journey becoming a more hardened person who is trying to avoid become the person she hates. While at the same time seeing the reasons for his actions( in a way humanizing GP). This makes her a fleshed out character that has good and bad to her. I personally do not prefer the flat sexuized object, but instead the character that she is becoming.

I think a MF VO update shouldn't completely remove all the fun from her VO. The fun & cockiness should still remain (especially considering she has a number of fun sexy skins & an overly serious & dark VO would clash with them). What they should do is give her a few lines that hint at the darker & more serious side of Sarah.

If they really went to give her serious side a full VO, then they could put it on her Captain skin like you suggested.

exactly my thoughts. i saw someone say that the current MF in game was a "sex doll" while yes shes very sexualized thats also a big part of her character, shes a Femme Fatale (beautiful girl who is deadly/brings about downfall). i LOVE the whole flirtatious, sassy, deadly, "blow em a kiss as you blow a hole through them" vibe she has, shes one of my favorite characters for it. now i will say that the most recent comic i dont like the way they painted her, but tbh ive always had a personal policy that if theres a story that i like and the writer does something that i thing is stupid af i decide that no that did not happen "this" actually happened. for example, everything in the maximum ride series past book 3? that doesnt exist. percy jackson movies? definitely dont exist.

anyways, MF is awesome as is, only thing i would say is make captain fortune her base skin because its 1902436193824192364981623498162349261x better than the classic and imo it fits her character waaaay better too (that or just update the classic to actually look good and fit her character and not just be a "show off the girls" pose)

Thank god someone else gets it. the Miss Fortune I know would never let herself get victimized so thoroughly before murdering someone in cold blood. The Miss Fortune I know wouldn't be scared, and she definitely wouldn't just give up her guns because some old jerkoff told her so. This is the same woman who, in previous incarnations, stared gangplank down after he drunkenly threatened to murder his own men. Making Miss Fortune a brooding, violent sociopath just reinforces the message that sex is bad, and if you express yourself in any kind of fun or flirty manner you're a villain.

Oh thank god I thought I was alone in thinking this. Sadly, the old MF is gone, but I’d like to think there’s a way to combine traits from both new and old MF into a new VO.

To be honest, she's still fun, flirty and confident. There's parts in the story where she is too. She's always been violet in lore, she's a pirate LOL. It wouldn't hurt to add onto the fun and flirtyness we see to give her some depth, trust me. [slayer-jinx-unamused]

Yeah I agree actually. If the writers don't reign back a bit on the grimdark they're gonna alienate those that are attached to the in-game persona rather than the more "post-hoc" lore MF.

I think there can be a nice balance between the two, but they do lean a bit too heavily on the grimdark, and I don't necessarily think the playful MF should be 100% a facade. "Dark, Gritty & Vengeful" does not equal "Interesting Character", and a bit of genuine provocative/playful doesn't automatically mean one-dimensional or sexist or whatever.

No one is trying to take away the sexuality and flirtyness of MF, I'm pretty sure that we can all agree that these aspects are just a general part of MF's character

With all of this character development she's been having, we just want to her appear less one-dimension than she currently does in-game

I liked the mf in the comic. Shows that while she is trying to improve herself and bilgewater, the city and its will keep trying to drag itself and her down. It shows hiw mf tries to use her looks to solve the problem peacefully and she uses her guns and creepy smile to build up a scary facade. If they give her a VU they should make it a little bit of fun and hot stuff, while also touching on how she doesnt want to be like GP.

i also liked MF from the original lore i was sad that MF and GP have to hate each other i remember from the Old JOJ in one event mf stopped gangplank from killing one of his crew out of rage and they were slowly putting their differences aside during the Harrowing

The Bilgewater event lore was the best. I agree with OP...she looks like the psycho girlfriend girl there...but whatever...small potatoes compared to how they butchered Evelynn.

Why this topic always has to be pulled off, every time Riot releases new material for MF, be it videos, comics, etc? People should get over it. Especially ones that are requesting Captain skin to be the default one.

Riot already stated, just right after that developer blog about sexyness, that they are ok with MF's visual appeal and they dont plan to change it, other than splash updates for a couple of skins (which she desperatelly need imo) and VO in some more distant future.

More on that Captain skin, however. If you want that skin so badly, purchase it. I for one would be pretty mad about it switching places with her default one. Its not the cheap skin either and i paid for it, so id hate to see it becoming free without some serious compensation from Riot's side (and nothing less than refund in RP at least... :P )
