Hiya, i wanted to write this board to open a discussion with a rioter on the artistic decisions going on with high noon lucian's login screen. I see that the login is different from the original splash art for the skin, the primary changes seem to be to his face. I've seen that most of the recent logins keep the original look of the splash mostly intact for example the most current one being akalis login, but this one seems different and i'm wondering why this is the case. The animation used for the login feel fine but i cant help but feel that the animation in the face are stiff and have trouble moving almost. I would like to discuss this thank you as well

and for the example login https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=8&v=Hyo33IFoq1Q

I'm no Rioter but I'm 90% sure that the login themes are created with Aftereffects, which allows different aspects of the picture to be moved. However, it's very finicky sometimes, and depending on how the picture was placed, perspective wise and also thinking about other factors, only certain bits of the picture can be moved.

For instance, I notice that Lucian's head is only moving towards his left - that's because the base art portrayed him looking 3/4ths and at the viewer. You can only move what you already have. This may add a little stiffness to other parts of the login itself, but in reality it's quite hard to make something look that smooth with already so much being moved in the first place.
