Teaser for Lux Comic > New Champion

Genuinely upset that yesterday's teaser was for a goddamn lux comic and not the new champion. Not very smart on your behalf. A lot of expecting players were disappointed seeing a preview for a lux comic that everyone already knew about and not the new enchanter support. I don't think that it's smart to hype up these sorts of things to that extent, don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of the lore, but I'm a bigger fan of new content in-game.

I personally think that a video game's lore should compliment the game, and not be in the main spotlight. Not everyone gets excited for comics, this was way too hyped up. Instead of leaving players excited we've been left nothing but disappointed.

"Way too hyped up"

A single short teaser the day before the announcement does not hype make.

Disregarding the fact that a) champion reveals would never happen on a Wednesday (especially on a non-patch week) and b) Champion teasers don't have dates attached to them.

There are definitely people, a lot of people that did not know a Lux comic was coming. But even if you didn't know, the teaser was clearly connected to Lux and Demacia. It was not hyped up at all, they posted a small clip literally one day before the reveal. I feel it's the communities fault to overhype stuff and expect unreasonable amounts of content. I am totally fine with what we got, because I knew what was coming. I expected it to be the comic reveal, it was the comic reveal, everything is fine.

How the hell is way too hyping up posting a 3 second video of a crest being broken????

While I do agree that it's not really necessary to tease a comic series that was already announced (especially when the new champ hype is at critical mass & especially on the day the new Roadmap was released which led sone ignorant folks to assume they were connected), let's not shift all of the "overhyping" blame on Riot.

You guys let yourself overhyped it. All they did was release a simple gif with one line of dialogue that all very clearly spelled Lux that was posted the day before. You guys are the one who took that & ran with it without stopping to think about it. Setting your own selfs up for disappointment.

This is the fault of both parties.
