First, the Captain skin: Yeah, so my "argument" for this is pretty weak, but I still think it's a valid point. Although MF is a captain, her primary job is bounty hunter, and that doesn't always take you out to sea.
In the story "Burning Tides," when she's first introduced, we see MF using her charm to manipulate all the men around her to the point where they are, again, "like servants before their queen." She uses this to gather information and to avoid her low-level enemies, which are really easy to get when you're a ruthless bounty hunter. Plus, having a bunch of mindlessly loyal random people is always a good thing to have, especially in her job.
All I have left to say is that I don't quite understand what you mean when you say that her sexiness contradicts her. After that,** I pretty much agree with everything else you're saying**. I guess I should mention that, for some reason, I always feel like I need to defend Riot's decisions.
Btw, I hope it doesn't sound like I'm just some idiot arguing with you. I'm looking at this as a discussion between two individuals, calmly expressing their differing views on a certain subject. I hope you see it the same.
