This is probably accurate. If Bard intervenes it's to influence something in another dimension 10000 years ago. Bard's not healing you to save you - hes healing you because your great great great grandchild will lead a revolution in the distant future. ... That's pretty much it. If this is true though, then Bard sounds like a very boring main character: He pops in, does something and pops out. Nothing will ever go wrong for Bard without being unstoppable, because if it is stoppable Bard already stopped it. He is basically omnipotent?

I fear I have to leave now and might miss the entire Q&A, so could someone ask during the Q&A what kind of stories Riot is expecting to tell that are interesting with Bard if he seems to be omnipotent?

Bard is not omnipotent, as a spirit he can be banished, powerful magics could potentially imprison him, and a force of equal power could possibly end him.
