The Current Lore Situation In A Nutshell
Please note this was mainly intended as a joke, but I'm going to supply a few links by request.
See pic.
Please. Lore team. Can you maybe put this retcon on hold and look through the masses of threads that some very passionate people have already posted and just think on them? There are some ideas that have been shared which are so utterly brilliant I would love to see them become part of the lore.
This particular thread has since been archived though it's quite possibly the most interesting and engaging one I have read to date. It tackles perceived issues with Champions and their involvement with the League, and provides arguments for the inclusion of the League through their development.
Name a Champion Whose Current Lore Couldn't Progress Through the League
This comment has been replied to by a Rioter, though the main reason I decided to link it is because of the masses of discussion points raised by lore fans. I can only say, read through all of them. They're all interesting.
Another massive comment thread that (somehow) progresses onto dicussions of homosexual and coloured characters. Just keep pressing 'Show More' every time you see it.
It's /ff from Narrative (Red Response and ensuing discussion between fans)
The point here is that the community and the Lore Team seem to be at others' throats about this whole retcon thing. It's destructive, it's counterintuitive, and it needs addressing. If we're not being listened to, comments that had good intentions become sour and toxic, and that is not what we need. Cupcake Trap (who should have been hired by Lore 4 months ago, and I'm not sure whether I'm joking about it anymore) is a very unfortunate demonstration but I sympathise with him: after being ignored and having my questions deflected and danced around, I'd be frustrated too, and I'd vent it.
This whole thing needs a TO. Quickly. Engage with us. Please. That's all we're asking. Talk to the community about this and listen, don't turn our ideas aside. All this work some people have put into filling the gaps has been torn down by one blog post.
Like I said, more of a joke thread than a serious one, but there you have it. Thanks.
