So whats going on with the shadow isles

So its been a Very long time since we had last heard from the shadow isles or gotten a champion from it. The last champion we saw from the shadow isles was Kalista in 11-20-2014 so it makes me wonder if something is brewing or the shadow isles are as dead as their residence ( i would like to see a shadow isles champion soon)
