Riots lore division is amateurish at best and pantheons new lore shows it

As the tittle says

Now aatrox has a god killing sword....because

But of course cant kill himself despite the only thing he wants to do is die....also because

Pantheon was the aspect and enslaved atreus, atreus regains his body and decides to name himself after the one that enslaved him, seems like a logical choice

Also lets not ignore an aspect have unfathomable power, zoe canonically has ended entire REALITIES shes so powerfull reality itself starts to break just because shes there, and pantheon the aspect of war the derives from the same power(and should be even more powerfull since he was fully in control of atreus body) gets killed by a swordy boy....makes sense

How could a sword kill itself

I dont see the problem here.... The darkin are canonically on the level of aspects.

Atreus took up the mantle and the name as it was a title, and chose to become the new embodiment of war to fight for the mortals against the aspects and the darkin.

Aatrox os imprisoned and unable to actually kill himself, as he will just kill his vessel.

  • Pretty sure he's always been able to kill gods in some capacity. He himself was basically a god once(and basically still is), and I'm pretty sure he was one of, if not the, most powerful Ascended/Darkin.

  • Pretty sure the only way to kill Aatrox is to break his sword, since if his host body dies, he gets imprisoned in it again. And since the weapons were made to imprison the Darkin, it would make literally no sense if they were able to break them themselves. I'm not entirely sure if anything can break them, honestly. That being said, Aatrox can't actually kill himself. He can fling his host body into battle all he wants and "die" a million times over, but he'll always come back when someone new picks up the sword.

  • Atreus literally became the new Aspect of War. The Aspect of War is named Pantheon. Thus, people are likely going to call him Pantheon regardless.

  • I'm not sure if Aspect power levels are consistent or not. A few of them seem "weak" when compared to Zoe if I'm being honest. You're also forgetting that Atreus wasn't very strong to begin with. I doubt he could resist Pantheon hijacking his body(Pantheon is also a fucking dick, so). That may have made Pantheon seem stronger than he actually is, and I think Pantheon greatly underestimated what a very angry Darkin is capable of in terms of combat and his ability to kill him.

The writing of characters is a little cliched in parts but what characters aren't in modern fiction, everything's been done and it's very easy to find characters that fit a design/theme/similarities.

Aatrox is, aside from being angry, an idiot. If he wants death so badly, why does he not carry himself into the Void and let the magic eating voidness do it's work?
