y'know how some are complaining about syndra being too edgy for a SG skin? well urgot would be that time 1,421,337. it could have been a good joke long ago but urgod as his kit is now would not fit the tone of the skin theme at all.
on a more positive note, he would be a good villain.
I think the purpose is not to fit the tone of the Skin Line in Star Guardian Urgot's case, but to parody it.
It's one thing to play the whole trope straight, it's another entirely to turn it around and make goofs on it. I think the joke isn't really solid enough to stand on its own (It's urgot but he's like, cute and sparkly, that's it), so I'm not necessarily for SG Urgot, but if they could find a way to parody the concept in a smart and funny way, that'd be great. That's really hard to do with one skin in a video game, though.
(also if we're doing cartoon villain skins, an even hammier Vladimir, just saying)

the idea of SG urgot came to be because of a leak months ago that predicted a lot of skins, reworks and xayah/rakan. It mentioned star guardian urgot and ezreal, tis why we talk about it, and why riot is making fun of it in the actual SG skins and Urgot's spotlight.

I personally don't really care if they make a star guardian urgot. I just really want them to make a snazzy outfit skin for him. He seems like he could work with a debonair skin, just looking at that concept art.
It would be the GREATEST meme and I don't think Rito realizes how great Star Guardian Urgot would be as a business decision. (especially before the rework tbh)
