Thanos stopped at half. Something tells me Mordekaiser won't.

You're forgetting that the Void is alive, and Mordekaiser is the most powerful necromancer on Runeterra.
An endless army of undead Voidborn... very interesting.
Morde is not as strong as Thanos without his ghoul army. Ryze can solo him, Any Ascended (the ones who actually REMAINED Ascended, not Darkins with limited powers because of their imprisonment), Veigar possibly can, Xerath can easy, etc. But these things may change after Morde gets a rework.
I dont think Morde and thanos are quite similar tho :-.
Thanos is supposedly super intelligent&powerful being who .....wants to die? See death? Something along those lines.
Mordekaiser was a warlord who got his ass handed to him and was killed, then got resurrected into a undead by his followers and then turned those into undead too.
Then he gets beaten, again, and his trapped on the would be shadow isles and is eventually freed but retains his own will as he is too old and powerful for the mist to dominate but he......somehow uses its power anyway.
So similar points, both like death, both like wrecking things.
But Mordekaiser isnt terribly intelligent as proven by his track record, powerful yes but not smart or good at planning in particular.
He really isnt a badguy on the scale of Thanos.....i mean, at some point thanos apparently smacked Galactus, a world eater and hurt him.
Thats like saying Morde should be able to smack Aurelion......i just cant see it happen, Mordekaiser will have his armor melted into a puddle and spirit sent away long before he even gets in range to touch the Dragon.
He is a high grade villain with history capable of destroying nations with his undead army/armies but he isnt powerful to the point where he can walk out infront of a bunch of powerful mages and survive, nor can he actually straight up delete a entire area by mumbling some magic words.
Sure he is the nemesis of any melee fighter being undead in a giant tough armor being able to use death magic but to any magic users he isnt that bad.
Just look at Azir, xerath and ....Syndra, possibly Veigar too.
Azir can raise a entire city out of a sandpile with only a few ruins left in it, Xerath is a floating energy reactor thats going critical and is a topclass archmage.
Syndra has studied even less magic than mordekaiser and she can throw giant, truly giant, rocks around and she even lives on one that she has permanently suspended in the air somehow.
Then we have the true disaster class like Aurelion, capable of wrecking entire worlds when free, we have those like Anivia capable of conjuring nation or at least massive area sized blizzards
Mordekaiser is.....powerful compared to many and lacking weaknesses, but he is ultimately a walking suit of armor who´ll find himself in a huge pinch if his enchanted suit is broken down.
Plenty of mage around can manage that, some could take his armies down at the same time.
Whoa now, let's not give them ideas. They retconned Darkin lore they created less than a year ago with this trite Shurima mess. They came very VERY close to retconning Nautilus' lore with something completely new so they could cannibalize it and use it for Pyke. They could very well make Mordekaiser king of the Void at this point because they're showing they have very little respect for the lore that already exists when they could just recreate the story to fit their whim at any given time.
