@Riot Why do some vgu reworks change vo(trist, ryze) but then don't for some (MF,fiora, when)

Title. Very odd that when a big change happens to a champ like new lore, the way they look, and kit, they sometimes get some new vo to back it up. So just wondering why some updates like I said MF, fiora, and shen don't get it. Heck even purely visual ones like Alistar, singed, and Morgana got no changes even though they have like maybe 10 voicelines in general

Presumably because Riot thinks the old VO is good enough, but only in some cases.

I would just have liked if they had more voice over lines and interactions with other champions....and if they can add a recall animation.

Because a new VO was out of scope for those updates. Similar to how they didn't receive a new set of animation, they still have the same emotes no recall. Fiora & Shen receieved meduim scale updates, so they were never intended to have all the changes that came with the large scale updates. As for MF, she 1st received a VU with very minor gameplay changes, the received the actual rework months later. So updates weren't do all together.

Ryze & Trist were larger scale updates where they were intended to have a new VO & new set of animations along with the rest of their VGU. The same thing happened to GP, Sion, Poppy & Taric.

It depends on how much they change their animations. Shen,Fiora and Miss fortune barely had any new animations, while Ryze and tristana were pretty much remade from the ground up.

Let's ask Karma . Nope. Question answered. This is proof that the update and balance team are VERY lazy. They have no problem working 7 times on Ryze though.
