Taliyah Age?!?!?!?

I am severely confused right now. I'm not entirely sure if this was canon before but I thought Taliyah was aged around 16 or 17. In her lore, Taliyah was present during the conflict between Ionia and Noxus since that was the way she ended up on Ionia. In the link above however, a Rioter confirmed in the comments that it was 7 years since Swain called off any attacks on Ionia. So does that mean Taliyah is around 24? If so that would be around the same age as Irelia which would be really weird considering how different they look in terms of age.
