So, and this might come across as controversial and possibly even offensive, but, does Riot ever have intentions on making an LGBT champion?

I don't include Taric or Ezreal because it's not apart of their lore (in fact, Ezreal is dating Lux according to lore). I'm talking about an actual champion that, in their lore, has a same sex partner at some time in their life or something of the like.

I don't want a cliche super girly guy or a brute looking woman with a beard or something stupid. Actually, it would be even worse if Riot made a super fan service lesbian champ that gave every straight man in an Ashe ult radius a boner more radical than Draven's ego. In fact, I wouldn't even want them being gay to be the focus of the champion. I want it to just be a bit of extra information for anyone that cares to read the lore, if not, an Easter Egg for the curious to find.

I'm talking about a warrior that may have lost his partner in a war, like the Noxian Ionian War, or a woman fighting for a cure to her ill partner. Not, "I fighting for the rights of like minded people because my race doesn't approve." It's way too annoying to know that of people DO IN FACT want a gay champion, they want it to be all about gay rights and shit. As a member of this community myself, I hate the cliches thrown into the wind.

TL;DR. If Riot ever has an idea to make an LGBT champion canonical, they need to make sure it's a neutral thing that doesn't distract from the actual lore and doesn't effect how the champion looks or feels to play.

Edit; this was once removed for being in the wrong subject. Same as before though. Original in a link, if it works.

But the thing is why do they need to do it? If you want it in their lore (which isn't even all that detail) why cant you just imagine that they are. Since sexuality doesn't play an important role in this game technically anyone (who isn't in a relationship) could potentially be Straight, Gay, Bi, or anything. They don't need to put it in the lore because its not needed. I mean with how they handle lore currently you are basically asking them to write: Oh ya and he likes guys, or She likes girls. it would just be pointless. If you feel like someone should be paired with someone you can do just that. it doesnt need to be plastered all over the place as if we needed to know this type of information.

I agree with you that their sexuality shouldn't be an aspect that's worn like a sign.

Urgot and Viktor. They both transitioned from human to weird hextech cyborg things.

I think the biggest problem here is that LoL is a game that gets played in many regions and sadly not every country accepts homosexuality, which could lead to some problems.

Though I'd say that it should be possible to do this through "word of gay" http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/WordOfGay Basically mentioning the sexuality of the character through a rioter comment, even if it never plays a role within the lore.

But that solution is probably not optimal either.

You know, I was warned by Riot that talking about things like this isn't allowed, and had an entire conversation removed because I was talking about how this is just absolutely silly and unnecessary -- hopefully they're not too PC to treat this thread the same.

People always want their representative in media. I think Riot should try this out. Gay champ design is too risky so I think just putting good 2-3 sentences description of champs's same sex lover in lore is the best way and safety to do.
