Wukong and Master Yi
So in their lore, Yi gives "wu" to wukong after wukong completes his training. So does that mean master yi's real name is "WuYi"?

IT BETTER BE
yep and just like some asian countries, their last name/surname is first before their first/given name. Like Xan Irelia, Xin Zhao, Wu Kong & Wu Yi and if they went to some western countries in our world, their names are like this Irelia Xan, Zhao Xin, Kong Wu & Yi Wu
A few things:
Wukong hasn't completed his training. What we are seeing right now is the very beginning of his training. Wukong even mentions how he's only beaten Yi 12 times and lost to him over 100 times. Yi has only begun to teach him the secrets of Wuju style and he hasn't quite mastered the arts of patience and focus that Yi is trying to teach him. It will likely be a while before we see Wukong near the end of his training, but judging by how Yi was called "a one man army", It should be very interesting to see what he'll be able to do.
Wu is a title for adept students. Think of it as a title for the Wuju Honor students. From the sounds of things Yi would have been called that ages ago, but he has earned the title of master so it was replaced with Master Yi. Because of the wisdom Wukong showed Yi, he decided he was worthy of carrying that title. (A lot of this can be found in Wukong's lore, which is a bit weird seeing as you'd expect the stuff talking about Wuju would be more in Yi's lore, but there it is.)
So in other words, when Wukong truly finishes his training, he will then become "Master Kong", which frankly would be a cool skin tbh.
