Summary and Conclusion of "Twilight of the Gods"

I love these longer stories and I decided to write up a condensed summary of my understanding of the events for convenience and pleasure. Maybe others can find it useful. Sorry if it seems ridiculously dense.
Ta'anari, a darkin, and Myisha, the apparent Aspect of Twilight masquerading as his mortal servant, hatch a plot to end the bloodshed his kind have wrought upon the world. At Ta'anari's call, ten darkin (Ta'anari himself, Syphax, Zigantus, Enakai, Xuuyan, Valeeva, Cebotaru the Wolf, Naganeka of Zuretta, and the siblings Shabake and Shabaka) gather at the ruins of Nerimazeth (the birthplace of Xerath??), but many are absent.
After Ta'anari gives a grandiose speech that mostly fails to appeal to their ancient sense of camaraderie and pride, he reveals the long-lost Chalicar, a weapon once wielded by their Ascended Queen Setaka that is revered by all darkin. The comparatively more battle-fit Xuuyan belligerently tries to take it from Ta'anari by force, but Ta'anari's use of unusual magic to create portals and steal the abilities of nearby darkin allows him to emerge victorious. After Ta'anari kills Xuuyan, the typically mute Naganeka remarks that Rhaast, one of the absent darkin, will be disappointed that he himself could not be the one to kill Xuuyan.
Ta'anari explains that Myisha led him to the highly-regarded Nasus "the Scholar", who divulged the location of the Chalicar and prophesied the return and rise of Shurima. As Ta'anari gives a final speech in which he reveals his ultimate belief that the darkin must be eradicated despite the trials the mortal world would have to face without them, he uses the Chalicar to begin a kind of anti-Ascension ritual that harnesses the power of the moon to un-Ascend himself and vaporize the other darkin.
When Ta'anari regains consciousness in the aftermath, he finds that he is mortal. Myisha tells him that Naganeka, Valeeva and Cebotaru escaped the vaporization, but she is confident that their deaths are now inevitable. She is now mainly concerned with the darkin that did not attend the ritual. Myisha cuts out Ta'anari's heart (to his surprise) with the Chalicar and hands the weapon and the heart to another of Ta'anari's mortal servants, Idri-Mi. Myisha implies that they will use them to find another way to neutralize the remaining darkin.
Some things I think are of note are the Rhaast and Nasus name drops, as well as the implication that Ta'anari's heart and the Chalicar may be involved in the development of the weapon-seal that traps Varus, Aatrox and Rhaast. It's also worth noting that Valeeva's brother wasn't present (to Ta'anari's relief), making him a possible current day, weapon-sealed darkin. Ta'anari using what seem to be abilities borrowed or learned from the Aspect of Twilight is a cool connection. Also, moon-based anti-Ascension = Lunari?
With 10 darkin eradicated (or their future eradication ensured) here and Rhaast's inexact count of about 5 remaining in modern times, that would put their numbers at the time of this story at around 15 if every darkin who wasn't at this ritual was eventually weapon-sealed.
