Stories of Valoran

i believe it would be a great idea for riot if they got in contact with a book publisher and released a series of books titled "Tales of Valoran" followed by the name of the main character of the story, mainly because it would provide a more immense character background and could expand the usage of the game to people who read sci-fi fantasy books that have yet to hear of or play league of legends. plus it would give the whole game more of a depth to its already great storyline. just a thought I had while waiting in a game queue yesterday. what does everybody else think?

This is a topic that comes up a lot on this board.

The issue is that the majority of League players have zero interest in lore. If you were to walk up to most league fans and say "Oh, hey, summoners aren't a thing anymore." they'd look at you funny and reply "No, Flash and Ignite are fine." The Journal of Justice was cancelled because a lot of people complained it was too long, and that was at most 5 pages.

The League market is enormous, but the part of that market that's into Lore is very small. With the money they'd have to spend on getting an author, a publisher, etc., it'd be pretty risky for Riot to put a book out for a very niche part of the game. And most people would probably assume it was just a tip book for the game anyway.

Would I like it? Yeah, I love League's characters and setting. But it's just not a very popular part of the game.
