is there any relation between fiddlesticks and thresh?

was in champ select and kinda remembered something when I saw fid's splash art, he has a key on a string around his neck, and having been playing some thresh recently a few days back I knew from looking at his splash so often that thresh has several similar, lage, clunky keys around his waist. Also fiddlesticks was some sort of spectral being or something that was forbidden to be summoned back in the lore when summoners existed and he drains your life-force, whereas thresh is somewhat similar, a strange ethereal-sort-of existence where he steals (drains maybe) your soul.

Kinda curious if there's anything in their past or place of origin, or maybe just coincidences

They have had a relationship in the past but riot isnt releasing the story duo to

champion privacee protocol

coincidence for now fid has a redcon lore atm, so nothing can be said about him

Nothing in common in origin, although with the retcon of the League, I think Fiddlesticks is almost certainly going to be made into an Isles champ. So it's possible something could be added, because Fiddlesticks' lore is going to need a full rewrite now that the summoners and League are gone, because that was really all he had.
