Will Tencent force Riot to make a franchise from LoL (cash grab games/movies) ?

There is an article in my country that quotes: "Tencent is interested in making a franchise from League of Legends including movies, animated, comics, etc.." Of course I don't believe in that article. But just curious, can Tencent do that? And if they can, will they? Because despite that I love the lore, I don't want Riot to make a cash grab generic movie or game. Thought ?

Riot Nicolo's comment regarding Tencent's role in Riot operations:

But without going into corporate structure details, we have setup the relationship where Tencent is not involved in any of Riot operations. Whether it is product development, creative or even publishing. Riot is running those independently. There is no company integration for example.

The only exception is publishing in China. Tencent has been our publishing partner for many years now. That relationship (a typical licensing deal) is actually not related to the investment. It started quite before Tencent invested in Riot.

If they own the company, they can push them to do whatever they want.
