True it is for fun, but don't go playing a melee champ at lvl 100 and expect it to be fun. If your in the lvl 50 not a huge deal, but 100 is kinda just there for the tryhards. I had friend who kept getting yas's and riven its like yeah, that's not gonna work and your basically ruining it for 4 people. They are lucky if they do 1000 damage over the whole game, while those doing it right do 10-20 times that. That friend offered to gift a guy playing yas any skin for yas, but he had to the RP cost for that skin in damage, he picked project but of course he couldn't do 1800 damage.

Depends what you are playing.

If you are playing the Teemoing, then I honestly don't care what you play cause I can probably carry on Anivia without much help from you.

If you are playing the Gauntlet though and haven't at least played the Teemoing first or looked up a strategy for it and decide, "I'll play Ekko and just assassinate these people," then it comes off as if you are purposely trolling.

No one should be flaming you, but most people are on their like 40th game in a row where this has happened to them, and when they finally get a good team and that one person ruins it, it's really frustrating.

Most people that I've come across in the Gauntlet are trying to beat it. They've looked at older gameplay. They've found the best champs. They've developed a strategy. When Teemo spawns and someone goes, "Oh wow, WTF," at that point I can pretty much assure you we are going to lose.

I will admit that Riot should've done a better job explaining the difference between the two modes. Until you've played the lv 100 Doom Bots, you really don't know what you are getting yourself into. Still, the number of people who want to play Rengar or Fizz just basically ruin the game for the rest of us trying to beat it.

if you're picking a feed champ, stick to teemoing. gauntlet is for tryharding, and out of 20 games i played yesterday, 19 of them included at least one noob / first-timer / troll.

there is a big difference between "fun mode" and "i'm here to ruin shit for others". if you are playing ANY pvp mode, there HAS to be some minimum level of effort to NOT suck. if you're in there just to "have fun" at other's expense, then guess what? it's as good as intentional feeding.

but really, i would blame rito for not making the difference between the two sub-modes clearer and/or making gauntlet be restricted to people who have won at least 5 teemoings. i would also make the mode disappear temporarily for those who get scores worse than 0/9 and/or do <5k dmg to bots - forcing the bads to requalify thru teemoing practice.

i thought this should have been obvious since the last iteration of doom bots, but nope, rito just sucks at managing these details. there will always be people who play RGMs purely for fun, while for gauntlet there will always be those tryharding to win - putting these two groups in the same queue is just pure stupidity.

Holy hell do I agree. I came into doombots yesterday and my team was acting like we were in the god damn LCS. "No you idiot rotate mid" "God dammit go top now!" It's like they're pros in this game mode and I'm just a bronze in a challenger game to them. Like damn. "GET SMITE FFS" "NOOB DIDN'T GET SMITE GG" Ohhh well you didn't tell me I could smite the teemo at the end. Thanks for nothing!

Played Doom Bots today.. had 1 game out of 3 that looked like we had a chance. The rest were overwhelming stomps by the AI. Almost makes you appreciate the just-as-garbage stomps that happens in Bronze and Silver except there .. you at least have a chance. LOL

The literal point of doom bots is taking the not-seriousness of bots and throwing on the trolling of literal OP mechanics

and people will still act like it's their promos to gold. It's so dumb. I just wanted to get my ass stomped a few times before finally winning barely, why everyone gotta flame the newbie among all that :/

Silly Neeko6/4/2017, 11:55:24 PM2 votes

Agreed.

I would just like to thank OP because I'm pretty sure a lot of us are thinking the same thing. I played a game yesterday and was not made aware that Smite needed to be taken. It was my first Doom Bot game, Teemoing, and most of my team was acting like we were being paid to win against the bots and me not taking Smite was some sort of plot to purposely lose. Part way through the game, someone goes, "Oh, these are Doom Bots, not other people... that's why we all suck," and the rest of the team started complaining about the two of us being Noobs and feeding and blah blah blah. Long story short, some of us use Doom Bots to get away from the salt of the LoL community, and it's kind of worse in these modes. It's a fun game mode that, if you communicate well, you can win WITHOUT yelling at other players.

I got flammed in doom bots cause i was first time and picked riven lol

ModPrandine6/5/2017, 7:03:09 PM1 votes

I agree that people don't need to flame people for being new to Doom Bots (we were all new once). That being said, I disagree that everyone taking smite is a must as depending on your champion pick it may not be ideal.

Yesterday I had a Teemoing game where I took Flash-Heal as Xerath (a long ranged champion) and we almost managed to win. What got us was 4 of us tunnel visioning on Teemo while Malzahar wrecked our base (we thought we could take him down before our Nexus falled). One of us did stay behind to defend but by the time the rest of us realized the severity of the situation it was too late. In the Post Game Lobby we all realized our mistake but still though it was fun for all of us.

I haven't tried it this time around. What I remember from last time is play the Teemoing and fail. Or play the normal mode and have allies choose difficulty of 100 and fail. There was no way to reliably play against an opponent that you stood a chance against

If you're talking flame in a literal sense. . . ugh. . . Doom Brand

themachamp6/5/2017, 5:16:44 AM1 votes

doom bots is srs biz...my rotating game mode mmr depends on it.

Mistress Madoka6/5/2017, 6:21:50 AM1 votes

I was playing basic Teemoing and some guy got upset that I picked Sion.

He had the most deaths at the end, I had the most assists

Mhihnj6/5/2017, 6:59:30 AM1 votes

I was playing top Fizz the other day in the teemoing. Our top lux was afk for first 5 minutes. She then reconnected, started flaming me and telling me that i should go play normals.

hhaavviikk6/5/2017, 11:06:27 AM1 votes

pick vel`koz, carry games.

turns out the AI doesn't try and dodge your skillshots when walking towards you 90% of the time, so you see them walking towards you E+W in lane, once mid game comes around E + W + R, and melt their team
