Both are powerful archmages in their own right, but I've wondered who would win in a mage battle.

Would Syndra's massive raw power give her the victory, or would Ryze's superior knowledge of magic period and his wizened experience give him an edge?

Speaking lore-wise, not from gameplay.

Even if Syndra is more powerfull than Ryze... I see her as an arrogant, overconfident and inexperienced girl who would underestimate her opponents.

So, i guess that Ryze would take advantage of that, and win since he has more experience and knowledge.

I'd say Syndra has more raw power, but Ryze can abuse what she doesn't know since ryze has been around for like 9 billion years or something

Syndra, definitely. Ryze knows a lot of magic and knows what kind of magic would be against others. But Syndras raw use and primal execution of her magic is something he would just be overwhelmed with the fact that she DOES have more power. Limitless potential.

Depends on when I think if Ryze fought Syndra just after calming down from being freed he would beat her and it would all be about how much control Syndra has over her power something tells me if Ryze had to he probably has Runes to use Syndra's crazy levels of power against her.

I'd say Ryze as well. Though in the end it'll depend on the situation,because Syndra outclasses him when it comes to raw magical power.

Ryze. Syndra is still learning what she is capable of and learning in general. Ryze has been in the game awhile and if you ask me has heard of syndra and studied her in some way. Ryze would be able to pin point weaknesses syndra has.

as she is in the lore, ryze would win. if stndra actually tried to practice controlling her abilities she would eventually be able to beat him with ease
