Canon lore
Hey there for anyone who can answer that would be GREAT! :D
Looking through the lore/been playing since right after braum's release and I noticed you guys (being rioters) started this large lore update way back when... as far as my memory serves (which is really bad but I trust it with stories) this was the order in which lore was updated (by region): bilgewater (illaoi's release/burning tides) shurima (azir's release) shadow isles (p-sure it was either hexakill or kalista's release) targon (a-sol's release) noxus [part 1] (kled's release {out-lands of noxus not really the empire itself}) piltover (camille's release) zaun (warwick's rework) vastaya (xayah/rakan's release) demacia (galio's rework) noxus [part 2]/darkkin [part 1] (kayn's release) -------ORNN'S RELEASE------- icathia [basic void knowledge] (kaisa's release) noxus [part 3] (swain's rework) ionia (irelia's rework) darkkin [part 2] (aatrox's rework) MAP'S ARRIVAL -soon to be kinku order (akali's rework)-
So as far as I was told/saw, freljord never got a full blown update (I've seen random bios changes to fit the new lore, but they're still short and don't have a lot of detail). Ornn's release (noted above) did give information on the area, but not a full lore revamp like the other new champions/reworks did. And with the map's arrival, we still have a lot of not canon questions/answers/mysteries. Swain hinted at stuff with ashe, we have no idea who the ursine are (except shape shifting bear-men who follow/worship volibear). We have no idea what watchers (esp the ones in the howling abyss) look like (before you say it, no the ryze thing in the map/cinematic is an ice-voidborn riot wooga-something [sorry hard name to memorize] said it's voidborn not an actual watcher). And we don't know if the smaller details are even worth thinking about anymore (things like ashe/trynd's marriage I heard isn't canon anymore, the thing lissandra used to say after a game of ARAM if you waited long enough can't be heard anymore [because the game auto-exists for you right before it should play], etc...).
We also got a comic on heimer/ziggs (and a "new" released yordle [kled]) but no bandle city lore (though we know poppy's backstory pretty well, but there may be more to it than that, I don't know). We know the location of bandle city is unknown (and the map'll RNG if it shows up or not/where it is [gotten it right above demacia, right in the canyon near demcia, not at all, in shurima, etc {idk if that's a bug or intended but that's what I'm seeing}]), and that poppy/kled/heimer/ziggs/kennen are the only ones who've gone FAR FAR away from it (as of now at least). And we know trist/teemo are still friends, but that's, nearly about it. Nothing major except maybe ties to the "spirit realm" or that they're magical/humans can't comprehend their true form.
I'd like to assume that we'll get a major region update with nunu's VGU, because if not him, then it's either a new champ or volibear's VGU to give the region updated lore. But as for bandle city, we have kennen (who not only needs a VGU, but is tied to kinku order, and not bandle city so it's unlikely) and corki (and maybe a new yordle [please please please I LOVE yordles :D {sorry not sorry}]).
So my question is: "When will these come around?" I'm almost certain nunu's bringing freljord's lore up to date, but bandle city has me curious. As the next champion on the roadmap hasn't be revealed yet (so far it's JUST nunu as akali has been on the PBE for some time now), and the yordles right now are kind of okay gameplay wise (from my perspective but hey I'm just a lowly silver player :^ what do I know). If Feljord DID get an update (presumably with ornn's release) let me know! I didn't see anything and may've missed it! THANKS for reading/answering!
