About the Ashe comic

I think the biggest problem with the Ashe comic is the lenghth from which other problems arise. Everything happens too quickly, there's no time to appreciate characters or dive deep into issues. And because of this everything feels kinda weightless. Imo the comic should be either longer or it should try to compress less action and lean more toward characterization so the reader can get more involved. To me the comic feels a bit like reading a summary of a work, something is missing.

Idk how comics work but I think its because its on "pilot mode" no? Like a show.. they're not just going to put out a whole season and waste time and resource creating something big, before they test the waters to see if people are even into it. They're probably checking numbers of hits and what not before they launch a real full blown comic book.

These comics will be published eventually, and comics have pretty hard page limits generally. The story you want to tell needs to fit on the pages you've been allotted by the publisher.

Marvel says Riot has X number if issues with Y number of pages per issue...then that's the amount of space they have. No more

You cut out all the action, and then you have a crowd of people claiming the whole thing is nothing but talking and therefore boring. You cut out the character drama to highlight the characters doing badass stuff, you have a crowd of people calling it shallow.

What they can't do, is get more pages so they can get more of both

I like the comic series so far. It could be longer tho I understand why the first series is shorter.

Just one question since I don't want to read them:

  • Does it explain what Ashe's bow is and where it comes from? Is there anything newer than: "It's a trueice weapon used by Avarosa"?
