Regarding the state of league's lore

Let me start off by saying that I understand that lore caused a bit of a problem in the past, and that I understand why Riot might have decided to maybe step back a pace or two from it.

But my God, Aurelion Sol literally has 3 sentences of lore in the client. I had no idea what Targon was, why they captured him, how they captured him, his interactions with other champions, nothing. I don't understand it. It's confusing to go in with a new champion and listen to him rant and rave about a place you've never heard of for the entirety of a game. It would be justifiable if Riot gave me any kind of avenue to pursue the answers that I'm looking for, but this is kind of ridiculous in my humble opinion. They're cliff-notes, and compared to the lores of some older champions where you have to scroll down to read it all, it's kind of depressing that I don't get to read about my favorite champions (Kindred and Sol, who between them have less lore on paper than most other champions standing alone).

I just don't get it. You could find an intern to write this stuff. It's not hard to keep this kind of stuff consistent. Hang up a flow chart in the office or something, just give me more to the lore than something a 5th grade teacher would turn away for not being a full paragraph. Please.

Oh dear god this again.

**ALL LORE IN THE CLIENT WILL BE 1 PARAGRAPH. THE FULL LORE IS ON THEIR PAGES ON THIS SITE!!!!!! **

Here are the last few new lores:

http://gameinfo.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/game-info/champions/aurelionsol/#champion-lore

http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/site/mount-targon/diana.html

http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/site/mount-targon/leona.html

http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/site/mount-targon/pantheon.html

http://gameinfo.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/game-info/champions/jhin/#champion-lore

http://gameinfo.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/game-info/champions/shen/#champion-lore

Now how about you read these, understand where the lore is, and then delete/change your opening post so you don't look like an naive idiot who can't even do a little research.

The really short version is that, in some areas like Lore, Riot kinda sucks. Fact is that the company as a whole seemingly couldn't give less of a shit about the Lore.

As far as I know, the Lore has never caused any problems for Riot, in and of itself; rather, it was Riot's long-lasting determination to act like Lore didn't matter at all that caused issues. And by "at all", I mean "not even enough for them to find the energy to say 'sorry, we're done with it'". It kinda became a shit or get off the pot situation; they needed to either buckle down and commit to some sort of real, solid, long-term-workable plan for handling League's story, or sack up and admit that, sorry, we really didn't know what we were getting into when we first created League, we didn't know it would become one of the biggest games in the world, esports has become an absolute monster, a game like this has very weird issues where storytelling is concerned, and the fact is we don't think we can handle it right now. Instead they sat on actually closing out the Freljord event properly for over a year and pissed everyone who cared right the hell off and....well, the rest happened.

Fortunately, there does seem to be some forward motion again; Burning Tides, the Bilgewater event, was apparently really good (good enough for me to here about it and decide to maybe give League a second chance after the Great Retcon), and it looks like they're trying to flesh out the world and figure out their storytelling with a real, solid, long-term-workable plan (see above) and bring everything into line with it. Which is good. What's bad is their ability to do this in a way that's highly visible and easy to access for everyone, even people who don't know about it beforehand. Here's the main site's Champions page; click AS' face to see some actually decent backstory. Hell, look around carefully on that selection page and you might spot some cool shit related to Jhin. But because all of that's only on the site, not the client, most people will probably never have a clue.

In worse case scenario, they'll do like bilgewater and make a full on event where once every couple of days they'll release a chapter of a story for us to read.
