Harrowing is a Halloween pun, right?

If you separate the two it's no longer a pun. It has no meaning, and no impact. Harrowing isn't inherently fun it derives it's significance from Halloween, and Halloween from tradition. When you separate harrowing from Halloween and any tradition its managed to accrete. It becomes meaningless, this year it felt so empty, this is why people are pissed. Also its not an event when you smear it over, what? a month and a half. If you just dropped all of harrowing on us out of nowhere it people would probably not have gotten so up in arms. Even with these assets it would be a good harrowing if it was an event. If you said nothing, and just put it in one patch maybe with a status report saying: "servers are being shutdown to prepare for the Harrowing". (also a login screen would be nice)
