Aurelion Sol's Rivals/Similar Beings

As I was reading Aurelion Sol's AurelionSol lore. I realized that he did, in fact, state that there were some beings on par, or even stronger than him. I was fascinated by this and was wondering if anyone knew anything about it? Like who or what they are, or even if they would be a future champion. I think Aurelion Sol'sAurelionSol lore is one of the coolest in the game, and was wondering about it.

Basically Aurelion Sol isn't the only celestial entity that exists in the universe, and he was born alongside these entities. We don't know anything about them other than such entities exist, but it's unlikely they look anything like Aurelion Sol or have powers in the same vein as him. They likely lord over other kinds of cosmic powers.

Would you agree that Dark Star and Cosmic Reaver Kassadin are meant to be similar if not directly related to Aurelion and his kind?

Edit: Aurelion, CR Kass vs DS Thresh, DS Varus- coming 2015 to a cinema near you.

I'd say the skins, being non canon, are inspired by Aurelion Sol and the celestial theme. Kinda like how we have skins themed around Runeterra's nations, these are skins themed around universal concepts within the setting. That's my take anyway. They're not directly linked in the canon since skins aren't naturally part of the main canon canon unless explicitly stated, but they're like "What if X character was actually from Y?".

Oh yeah I'm fully aware that skins represent "what if" and your reply was probably a default reply you use for most commenters, granted it was my bad for not fully explaining myself. I didn't actually mean DS was going to be apart of canon lore or anything. What I meant was within context these skins could be an example of some of the mighty things that exist in the universe. Lol, there's no way Kassadin would be or would ever become a star forging entity. But it would be cool regardless.

Edit: I only said what I said in the first place because some people I know were determined to think that DS was Void related and I also think some people had forgotten the Kassadin skin and was kinda just mentioning it to remind someone that thats a thing too.

Bard is stronger than him. Right?

Unknown, but it is known from a Red that Aurelion considers Bard an equal.

I haven't seen the quote that you're mentioning, but given Aurelion Sol's fairly vain (and justifiably so) nature, considering another being an EQUAL is a major bow of the head. I mean, read Sol's origin story and corresponding event-idh thing. He considers nearly everything beneath him. The Void is a minor nuisance. An entire warrior civilization are foolish children in his eyes. He was only enslaved due to his opinion that his own majesty was so great that a giant space crown wasn't a suspicious gift, or out of the ordinary in any way. Sol LOVES himself. He's like Dragon Draven, and I love him for it. So to tip his hat enough to acknowledge Bard as equal to his power... that might be the closest Sol can come to saying, "Okay, this Bard guy is pretty damn powerful."

Ill find it, give a second...

EDIT: From FauxSchizzle from the Aurelion Sol Q&A "I would think he considers Bard on "his level". Nagakabourous as well."

I never have seen that red post. As I know Aurelion Sol respects Bard because of his duty in the universe, that's it. I wouldn't say someone as Aurelion Sol would consider any entity as equal of himself. Even if this entity is clearly more powerful than him. Do you remember what happened in Void Rift? He sensed a vastly powerful void entity that shuddered him but yet he still wanted to show himself and feed his ego just because this entity laughed at him.

He is super arrogant, I dont think he would see Bard as a equal.

What if Ao Shin was? We all thought that Aurelion Sol was "Ao Shin", but what if Ao Shin was one of the other celestial beings he was forced to kill?

I summon Eru on this argument.

Since Riot said that Dark Star skinline isn't related to Star Guardian we can assume that it is a possible end of Stars left to diebecause of Targon's doing.

I do find some similarities between DS Thresh and the laughing Void entity which Aurelion Sol fought. It would be pretty damn interesting having an "alternate reality" skin being canonized through actual color text.

A rioter posted awhile ago that Nagakaborous exists and is as far beyond Sol as Sol is to us. Or something similar.
