I doubt that they would kill an existing champion to introduce a new one. It must be something with Shen's rework and a lore update. Zed's redemption maybe??

Zed will die just like Gangplank "died".

The only problem with that is Zed doesn't die in his death animation. By law he escapes death. Maybe this is the reveal of Nocturnes birth and the link between them.

Animated Portrait: Zed no red eyes. Project Images: Zed no eyes. Teaser Image: Zed no red eyes.

Zed. Red. Dead. Rhymes and stuff. Kappa123 . .

Like Gangplank:

[Default Skin update]
[Story & Lore update]
[Reintroducing Shen]

I like that they're finally straying away from having all characters have glowing eyes. It's cliche boring...

Shen is next on the rework list. There's also the "Dead-eye" teaser floating around, perhaps an introduction to a new champion? There had been similar teasers where the champion information on the league website was defaced( jinx ), or modified ( zed/cass/tf shadows (kalista)). Only time will tell.

When a thread was made on Reddit regarding the teaser, Gypsylord, the designer of Jinx, Vi, Gnar, Ekko and the next champion, left the following, suspicious comment: "!" I think that it's very like that it's a new champ being teased.
