Mute individual player's pings?

I know that people have asked for this dozens if not hundreds of times, but it's worth bringing up again: Can we PLEASE have the option to mute a specific individual's pings?

It's great that we can adjust the global volume of all pings, but I would like to be able to silence that one moron who spams pings until he runs out of them.... then does it again as soon as he is able. It's incredibly annoying.

If I turn down all the pings I won't be able to hear the genuine pings.

Also, please make the "mute pings" function separate from chat muting. Sometimes I don't want to talk to somebody, but I still want to hear them ping.
