Confusing layout for new users

First post I ever made on the boards got deleted for being in the wrong section. I understand that's a blunder on my part, but the board interface is confusing for new users. Shouldn't there be a general discussion area?

Instead of having my thread moved to the proper board, it was deleted entirely. So the boards or not managed very effectively either. The post I made was questions regarding end of season rewards. This could fit into multiple categories based on the menus provided on the left.

My first experience with the boards was unpleasant, and I'm not a very big forum user, so I won't be coming back to this place for some time. Goodbye boards, hello reddit.

General Discussion is the GD tab.

Reddit is awful, just like these boards and yeah these boards suck, just keep complaining until riot improves them. From the looks of things riot would rather you not use these boards at all, after all they do not use them either. It seems as if riot would prefer if you used reddditttt or some other 3rd party forum based upon the frequency of interaction with these "boards" and the frequency of interaction with non official 3rd party sites.

tldr - You are better off getting league information and posting about league in all the places that have no actual affiliation with League. Go Figure.

Yeah, that is what they should have done. These "boards" are still newish so maybe they will learn from the mistakes that they make daily. yw btw
