AFKS/ Rage Quits in Ranked Queues

Honestly Riot you need to work on something here. I played literally 5 games in a row with an afk or rage quit. I think its complete BS that I lose the same amount of lp as a normal loss even though its basically unwinnable, and when I win 4v5s I believe I should be rewarded. There are more and more people afking every single day and its getting out of hand. Also, these people never get banned!! There is a video on youtube where a guy went and afked in 50 games in a row and finally, finally he was banned, and only for a week!!! This is outrageous. Riot you need to be more strict with afkers or be more lenient to those that are stuck with them! Maybe give them a loss prevented or 1/3 or 1/2 less lp. This would be greatly appreciated!!

The answer is: yes. "We're losing, so I'm going to AFK so we only lose 1/3 (or 1/2) LP."

This is, quite simply, a terrible idea. Further, you talk about one video on YouTube of a dude who got banned after 50 AFKs? That's one. People are banned all the time for it. If you really want to help, get involved in the Tribunal to make the process of banning faster. There are millions of players playing millions of games every day, and the community is charged with deciding punishments. I bet there aren't millions of people in the Tribunal.

Finally, AFKs affect everyone. No tier, no person is immune to the effects of AFKs and we've all suffered losses from it. In the end, it balances out that everyone is affected equally.

Your correct on many situations however people are 75% more likely to afk/rage quit in bronze and silver than any other division. Also, people are banned after they have been reported and warned hundreds of times. I see the problem with the losing less lp, however riot needs to be more strict on banning people. They can tell that they afk, give them 24 hours of not being able to play ranked.
