Skins & Champion Concepts Coexistance

So, as a bit of background, I've played around in the Champion Concepts forums on and off since early 2010, and have honestly enjoyed the community there every time I've come back. There's just something to be said about a bunch of people who are willing to pour their creative energies into not only designing concepts, but critiquing them and even running contests with no real prizes just for the sake of creativity and community. Honestly (and I swear I'll get to my point eventually), as much as everyone there dreams that one day you (Riot) will take note of their champion and they will be lifted from their homes to live amongst The Designers, the fact that we all know that won't happen made that community great. We worked together because that's all there was. We didn't compete for dominance because that was never the point. It was made as a creative outlet and found me some of my best friends here in League.

So, first of all, let me say thank you for even having such a forum. At all. You guys never had to do it, and we're all glad that you did. (And man, were we glad that glorious day when one of The Designers himself, RiotAmes blessed us with a few posts. I'm only mostly kidding there)

Now, I just returned to the forums after being away for about a year or so, and I found the new boards. I don't hate them, that's not the point of this (remember, I'm thankful there is anything like this here). More appropriately, I'm concerned with their current functionality.

Let me explain.

As of right now, Skin ideas (Pretty things!) are in the same forum with Champion Concepts (Walls of Text). To my understanding, the system currently preferentially displays upvoted threads, which is good, but the issue in this instance is that pretty things will quickly dominate the walls of text, simply by ease of access.

To make a strawman out of this, it's comparing the number of people who like Coca-Cola to the number who like Fiction Novels. The actual appeal of both are, somewhat comparable, but in terms of vocalizing the interest people have in it, you're not going to get the same number of upvotes for any kind of books as you will for sodas, due to accessibility.

I want the skins to have their forum, and to be seen, and upvoted as much as possible, but I'm having a hard time seeing how to have those coexist with Champion Concepts without unnecessary competition. I want to be able to see just champion concepts, to be able to run a contest or a challenge in a method similar to the way we used to, except better. Now with the new system we can, as a community, upvote the month's contests, increase their visibility without having to bump multiple times per day, and we can have that lively community that I grew to love, but we just can't compete with the Skins.

I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record, and I think you get my point already, but I saw this in the "Skins & Champion Concepts" board, and had to read it multiple times to see if I was missing anything:

Culture Are you nodding to the tunes of Sona's slick particle updates in her skins? Does Dragonslayer Pantheon's splash art still make your jaw…drop? Maybe you've got the next Pool Party Ziggs up your sleeve and you're here to show everyone. Skins & Champion Concepts is the place to share your concepts for new Skins & Concepts. We’d prefer all concepts to go here, but you can also post them in Community Creations if you fancy.

I know you all spend a great deal of time wording these kinds of things, I've seen it done myself, but, it kind of breaks my heart. The whole of "Culture" for the forum I've spent hours, late into the night writing, reviewing, and generally having a great time in, has no mention of why I and at least some others are there.

I'm gonna stop myself there before I lose my point, and make a simple suggestion:

Riot, please give Champion Concepts and Skins separate forums here.
