It would make me feel so much better.

Thats like saying there is literally no function for Ice Cream besides making the ice cream consumer feel happy.

This... is a terrible analogy. Also, I'm lactose intolerant, which makes the analogy work even less.

Seriously, what function does this possibly serve? If your analogy were to work, you're basically saying that the reporting system owes you satisfaction (which it doesn't) because you do it to feel good (which you shouldn't).

It's incredibly satisfying knowing that some ass in a game you played making the experience miserable for everyone else has been given what they deserve, actually. I don't report often, but when I do it's because the person I have reported doesn't deserve to play LoL, and as such eventually never gets the chance to play this game again.

Let me ask you one question. How would it make you feel better? It would only mean that someone was enough of a jerk to actually get banned. I really don't understand why anyone would want to focus on a jerk who got banned outside of the report button.

This shouldn't be a thing. There is no reason for you to get satisfaction from "that guy getting it"

You report because it needs to be reported not because you want that guy banned!

There is literally no other function for this besides making the reporting player feel better.

Nope, don't see how this could horribly backfire.

Yes, why would Riot ever want to make you feel better for reporting the umpteenth troll on your team.

Are they afraid that people would report people for the lulz to make this message show up?

IMPOSSIBLE, THE AUTOMATED BAN SYSTEM IS SO GOOD THAT 99.999992310% OF BANS ARE DESERVED, RIGHT RIOT?
