Not only that, but when I am on my profile page, only the first two badges I have earned show up (S1 and S2). I worked very hard to finally get to diamond. Don't limit the badges visible on profile pages! Also, showing them under our username on posts was nice. It was passive credibility.

My apologies, I should have been waaaay more clear about what I meant. I don't think you are using an ad hominem argument; that's why I said to ignore the first 15 seconds of the video. In my experience, when people's badges are displayed, they become fodder for ad hominem arguments. Bronzies become unable to express controversial opinions without being dismissed because of their rank. Those aren't the forums that I want.

This is probably exactly why they are less visible on the Boards. You shouldn't really need the credibility of a rank icon to make your points valid, so I get why it's a lot more subtle.
