Posts can STILL be 'stealth edited'

Boards need an indication of whether or not a post has been edited. It prevents dickish trolling and other juvenile nonsense, and has little if any downside.

A simple 'last edited: [timestamp]' would suffice a more complex 'see previous versions' would be better

Yeah these forums are terrible organized, and the effort they give is all wrong. I made a post about how urgot is so useless and could use some buff, and it was deleted. Like his ult does no damage.

I'd prefer the edit timestamp personally, but that's because I tend to write a post, then edit it within the first minute because my phrasing was different from my intention.

Either solution would be nice, though.

It's ok. You will have another season to be better.

I can see someone frustration with edits. I don't know the answer because I often go back and fix a spelling slight wording or some simple thing in a post. If I do it then it was soon after I hit send and it seems like if there was a notice that I changed it I'd look like I was messing with major messaging or phrasing.

Having said the above, I do feel like this is an issue at times. I have had people change even the OS after a discussion has started and I mean the total meaning of it. So I wish there was a solution I just don't have one :) Although, if this happens a lot start quoting. I only wish I'd remember to do that more often.

There are some prime examples in this thread for why quotes are a not terribly effective tool to solve this problem. They are all too often subject to the same low quality of discourse and in much the same way.

You can say that again ;)

See something about the sneaky way some people do this ( Not meaning a joke) well it bugs me I must admit...I'm liking your ideal. Except for the part I mentioned about the small changes I might make to punctuation and things.

What I think I know is this would be a big undertaking from Fek, but have to find out from Fizz to be sure :)
