[Idea] A Suggestion that may Help Build Teamwork, Positive Attitude, and more

I think you should be able to have some sort of pot in the store where you are allowed to donate an amount of gold so anyone on your team can take it.

So say if you had a full build but still got a lot of gold left over, and that a player/friend is having a rough time, then you would be able to tell them that you are donating into the pot and the player would be able to take from it to buy stuff.

This would be a cool way to build teamwork and prevent players from getting negative and surrendering for feeding, etc.

This idea might still need some tweaking like perhaps a maximum of what you can donate, when you're allowed to donate, or an option for who you want to donate to, or maybe make it so you can't donate gold, but you can donate items, that way people are actually using this for good reason, rather than just taking gold just to have it.

While it sounds nice, I imagine a case where support goes back to having no gold because it's more efficient on the ADC. That's why the zero CS support came into favor - the gold from minion kills was "donated" to the ADC.

In the event that you cannot donate gold until a certain time passes - say a half hour... I imagine there'd be games where the support just holds onto the gold and then at 30 minutes the ADC (or whoever will benefit the most) has a sudden rise in power due to a free item from the "donation".

It seems nice in theory - and probably would be nice when initially implemented. But I imagine it'd actually lead to gold starvation.

This idea would only be effective in certain situations, but it would most certainly be used for very overpowered tactics by coordinated teams.

A good twist on this would be to donate the gold of a leaver evenly between the team, so that they stood more of a fighting chance, but that would have a similar problem that Riot is currently having with leaver penalties.

Overall, whilst these ideas would create more teamwork, they would probably ruin the meta.

It lowers teamwork. Someone can kill everyone and then donate his excess gold.

There are many problems with this. Everybody could donate gold to the same person and that guy would get feed super early. This idea heavily affects the laning phase.

can someone move this out of the Site Feedback sub-community, and into the Gameplay & Strategy one? thx.

also good idea, but yeah the risk of people abusing this is too high, maybe putting a limit on how much donations one person can revive will help? also i think only people who have a certain amount of gold, or a certain amount of items, should be able to receive the gold. i would would go with the certain amount gold restriction as people can easily sell all their items :].

edit: also should prolly put some limit on how many time one person can get a donate since a troll might sell and rebuy items until broke and then take all the donation money. or you could just make it so that it the store can detect if someone buys and sells repeatedly and make it so they can't get donations anymore :]

Yeah it's a nice idea, and one I'm sure a lot of us have considered in the past. However, as a few comments have touched on, it would put less responsibility on some roles and more on others. Not to mention the trolling potential!

This could become very unbalanced if a teammate is doing very well and has lots of extra gold very early in the game. I feel like it would ruin a team fight if someone that was shut down is full build when people on the opposing team put resources into shutting that player down and are still not full build.

Revision time, while the idea in theory is good for such a system to work and not break the game would require several sub systems, Not simply requirements as to how the gold can be donated but quite literally game shifting elements, for one to prevent people from just dumping all their gold on the mid every time they B back you would have to make limiting systems as to how much items you can actually have at a certain point in the game. A better more simple way to solve a feeding problem and encourage team work would be a system where the feeder or the one falling behind can receive bonus gold for maintain objective control and playing in a way that is safer. For instance if you have 4 deaths 10 minutes into the game you receive gold for staying within tower range however to decrease the affects that could could be abused~purposefully dying so you can receive gold faster by playing safe there would have to be a limit to how much gold can be earned for playing next to tower. However this would also make it so the enemy team can't would't be able to win because they can't eat the said feeder. Which means that it would encourage more bait style of play to lure them away from turret. Another thing that could be implemented is objectives based on deaths that can only be completed should a person be under leveled and however the Jungler and support who is often under leveled to encourage them to not take it away from a actually behind player that should't naturally be behind the laners there should be a system that encourages supports to stay in lane longer and just decrease the benefits on the person who carries smite.

Pros and cons. There have been plenty of times I've been at full build and wished I could donate to teammates.. but plenty of times I've been glad the other team can't. And I think in the end it's better the way it is. It forces more coordination in distributing kills, especially later in the game.

This will make the game even more complicated but I like this idea so less rage quit or bs-ing ur own teamates.
