[Bug]Less than sign is not being parsed properly

I just was trying to type a reply with a less than sign in it and it ate the less than sign and everything that followed it despite the preview showing it coming out fine. Since I thought it was something weird with the boards formatting I tried to escape it with \ but that didn't work either.

I'm not sure exactly what's going on with it but if it has a functional purpose a) it should fail gracefully and not eat the rest of the post following it and b) it should be escapable with \.

EDIT: ok got it to trigger reliably here: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/GD/5lOBAKzY-trying-to-tickle-a-bug?comment=00000000

the part following the quote should be: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/GD/U0EG3YN3-my-wii-doesnt-work-anymore-gd?comment=000300000002

EDIT 2: ok got a reliable trigger. If you put a number immediately after the less than sign with no space it will eat all of your post following the less than sign; going to test further to see if it is just the number or letters and symbols can trigger it as well.

EDIT 3: appears to be any character, not just numbers

this should have 1 "less than" 2 below

1 < 2

edit: odd, this was not working on general discussion but it works here

is it the space after the less than sign that lets it be parsed?
