Newbie Players Need Their Own Board

"Tips and Tricks" just isn't cutting it. I remember having read somewhere that a Rioter suggested that this board be used by new players and not just veteran players. However, half the threads that get posted in that board are not even by new players, but rather by ranked players or level 30 summoners who are... well doing what the board title suggests and simply posting tips and tricks. I don't feel this environment is welcoming to a new player as some of these tips and tricks expand upon previous knowledge, that of which true newbies haven't gotten to obtain yet. Also, I'm under the impression that some new players don't even realise the "Tips and Tricks" board exists to help them since it's not otherwise stated formally. Moreover, there are even less newbie threads posted daily in said board than back when the old forum had its own section for newbies.

Furthermore, it's even more frustrating scrolling down to find a thread to help out a new player what with all the "tips and tricks" filler posted by veteran players. It was a ton easier to do back when the old forums had a "New Players" section and I propose this be brought back and kept seperate from the "Tips and Tricks" board for convenience. Also, someone in a previous thread regarding this subject mentioned there being a summoner level restriction set in place for the "Tips and Tricks" board. That's fine and all if a true Newbie board were to be introduced, but the way it is now it may actually turn away sub-summoner level "X" new players (if the restriction is true).

Thanks.

Having a summoner level cap prevents veterans from helping new players, otherwise the logic is sound and I agree completely.

I could really use a newbie board too. There's still quite a bit I haven't figured out playing the beginner stuff, and I can't find good information. The more experienced players take all that stuff for granted, and expect you to know how to do it already.

One of these days I'm going to figure out how that map pinging works...

All decent games have a newbie section, whoever made the new forums really did an epic fail. Sound??? We need a forum about SOUND?? Also smashing TT/Dominion/SR/Scar all into one forum? FAIL.

A lot of these suggestions were brought up when the board was created. The reply was essentially along the lines of "it would split the community too much" so they haven't done it.

I agree with you, I think that new players and veterans trying to learn new things are distinctly separate groups and require distinctly separate environments.
