[READ] Logical Answer to Placement Match questions

Please stop saying "OMG, ELO hell for another season!! FML!" Because of placement matches. These matches should not determine what League you are placed in above Silver. They balanced it out, so you will have to fight to reach high ELOs. If they did a clean reset, there would be GOLD,PLATS,etc that don't deserve it. You want Gold? EARN IT. Stop crying that you will never make it and that Riot "screwed us over".

EDIT I know that it may be frustrating that the majority of players got demoted to a really annoying division like Bronze or Silver. In order to get Riot's attention, email them, don't spam the forums.

In all seriousness, thank god there are some people in this community that actually use some common sense while looking at this instead of complaining because they feel entitled.

Question, I won 6/10 matches in my placement series. i got bronze 4? why? is it easier to earn ELO or LP?

I'm happy to see that the current elo distribution befits a normal (gaussian) curve. It didnt make too much sense to have 90% players in bronze and silver, and the 10% remaining in gold and up. However, a problem I see with the current matchmaking system is that as diamonds are stuck in plat, plats in gold, golds in silver and silvers in bronze... anyone with a bit of sense would wait 2-4 weeks before doing their placements, so that everyone who is supposed to climb, climbs, after which the level of players you will end up finding in your matches will correspond to their actual skill level. In the meantime I'm stuck randomly having people who know how to play and people who do not know how to play in my teams. How can I climb when I havea a first pick fiora in my team, who just achieved 8 defeats in her last 10 games?

I am just going to play ranked with my 5v5 team instead of going through solo-Q blues....
